  1. Same here - my surgeon/program recommended them.
  2. I'm 51 and was sleeved in May. No complications and I feel great.
  3. If anyone else uses the Atkins Lift drinks and live near a Ralph's, they are on closeout with a 4 pack for $4.74.
  4. Anyone else exhausted? I'm on day 4 and just completely spent. Can get up and get one thing accomplished (shower/load of laundry) and then its back to bed, wiped out. Is this normal? How long does it last? Thanks all!
  5. I'm on Day 3 post op. Mostly still sluggish/taking it easy at home. Very little pain and grateful that my caffeine headache has finally abated a bit. It's been hard to get in the required fluids/protein and the protein shakes I liked before surgery are much less appealing now. Thinking about food quite a bit and how life will change, but still believe I'm doing the right thing and that it'll be for the best. All the best with your surgery!
  6. I'm day two post op and also struggling to get down protein shakes. Had one bottle of protein20 and small part of two shakes and that'll have to do. I hope it gets easier.
  7. Good luck to all my 5/10 sleevers today! Checked in and ready to go!
  8. I'm in a similar situation and will try to handle a kid event 9 days post-op. But I also found out that it will be live streamed, and if I have to watch it rather than go in person I'll do that. You might want to see if it will be live streamed or if somebody can Facebook live or periscope it, as backup and for peace of mind for however you feel!
  9. I'm May 10 too and getting nervous! I'm going through with it no matter WHAT though. Mostly will just be happy to be on the other side of it/not have the anxiety and worry that goes along with the buildup to the surgery. Check in again on Wednesday night!
  10. Love reading about everyone's progress! I'm scheduled for Wednesday. Anyone else?
  11. Newbie here (surgery on 5/10) - wanted to respond to the title! My "theme song" for taking off the fat suit has been this great rendition of "Brand New Day" from The Wiz Live. They take off their dark suits at the beginning of the song, after they are freed from the wicked witch (and it's a great, high energy song to start the day dancing to :-))
