  1. I had the sleeve, a hernia repair and my gall bladder removed at the same time ... March 13... I have not experienced any incisional pain or difficulty swallowing. However, everyone is different. Your surgeon is most likely correct and it might not be uncommon for what you are experiencing to happen. I am sure it will get better
  2. 13 weeks. However, the gurgling stopped about a month that ago
  3. I was told that my new stomach would make noises a lot... it did in the beginning but not any more
  4. I also added protein powder to my liquids at that time
  5. I am 13 weeks out and have never been nauseous or vomited, nor do I have reflux or heartburn. We are all different and I count myself lucky. I can Eat ust about anything. Good luck
  6. Goodwill has received 8 huge bags of clothes from me and my closet is empty. I only buy things on sale now since I know I won't wear them for long
  7. If I was the type that could stop with one warm chocolate chip cookie I would say go for it... but I am not unless only one warm chocolate chip cookie was baked! There are protein chocolate chip cookies but I never had one
  8. I am three months out and still have this problem.. I am working on it
  9. If you wake up on day 1 or 2 and ask yourself "what did I do?", don't worry... many of us felt that way in the first couple of days... give it a chance, you will feel better and realize it was the best thing for you. You will then wonder why you didn't do it before. It gets better! Just stick to the plan and keep on walking!
  10. Not too late to switch... have your surgery at Syosset hospital, their program is fantastic., both the pre-op and post-op care. Dr McMullen is wonderul
  11. Dumping is more of an issue with the gastric bypass
  12. What does the surgeon recommend for you? I was fairly certain I wanted the sleeve and the surgeon said it was the right one for me... Sometimes it depends on the amount of weight you have to lose, perhaps not always
  13. I am 3 months out and about a week ago I started drinking with a straw and have had no issues. I have my 3 month check up next week and plan on speaking with the surgeon about it and asking if the restriction still applies if I had no issues
  14. Take the gall bladder out... it needs to eventually since you already have gall stones.... however, the other issue also need to be fixed. I wouldn't bother with a second opinion about the gall bladder
  15. I was told it was normal if it happened, too. I haven't had sharp pains, just twinges and not very often
  16. One of the reasons you are tired is that you are consuming many fewer calories than your body is used to. It does get better
  17. I order a regular portion and take the rest home.
  18. You look great... imagine how good you will look when the swelling goes down
  19. wonderful! Best wishes for a continued easy recovery
  20. I am just about 3 months out... I rarely feel hungry except the first thing in the morning... and I never get in more than 700 - 800 calories a day although I probably could.
  21. it gets better every day!
  22. Mine took 5 months but only because I delayed getting all my appointments for testing. There was no specific time frame required by my insurance. Once I did everything she scheduled my surgery date pretty quickly.
  23. I was 9 pounds heavier the first week.. when I said something to my doctor she asked me why I weighed myself!
  24. the baritastic app is good, too, and it is free. See which one works out best for you
