  1. I'm being sleeved April 13th!!! Good luck. Hope your liquid diet is going well if it applies.
  2. My surgery is April 13th. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I heard gas x strips help a lot with gas pain. Best of luck to you!
  3. I could understand how challenging the pre op diet can be. One thing I started doing was actually applying those changes nutritionist gave us before I was given a surgery date. I gave up soda, starches, sweets and all the bad stuff. Was I perfect? No, but I was giving myself that head start. It's a mental thing and if we have an addiction to food then Getting further help would give you a more positive outcome after surgery. Maybe you're aren't ready and need to change your relationship with food. But don't give up. You got this!!! It takes some longer to give up food that gave us "comfort" so don't feel down if you have to reschedule. Remember you want to be safe and healthy after surgery. You don't want to be tempted the week after surgery because you didn't make those changes Before hand. Talking with your doctor will help a great deal. Just be honest 100%. Good luck to you and sending you all the positive vibes in the world.
  4. I was the doing keto before surgery. I'm now on liquid diet and obviously can't eat food but I did like the Keto diet before and would like to continue doing once I'm in regular food. Good luck to you all. No matter what, remember that making the decision of having surgery was the best decision ever!
  5. Looking great! Congrats for the success!
  6. Wishing you luck. I hated waiting so I called every couple days. Sometimes they get so busy they don't move as quickly as we would like them. They were pretty nice where I'm getting it done. Best of luck to you!!
  7. I had a question about traveling, has anybody been told to not fly 5 weeks after surgery? I'm being sleeved on 13th of April and I fly out may 23rd for a 4.5 hr flight. I've heard rumors you can't because of clotting but I've known people to fly a few days after surgery for those that go to Mexico and get their surgeries done. I was hoping since I would be 5 week after surgery I'll be fine. Just wanna know what you all been told. Thanks in advance
  8. You're right about that. That's the main reason they have us do it.
  9. Yes. 2 week diet for me. I honestly thought the doc would give me a week since I'm under 40 bmi but I'm not upset. It'll give me a couple weeks of losing extra weight. Good luck to you as well !!!

  14. I know the feeling. I hate the waiting game. Once they get an approval it takes them time to call back. I don't care but I've been calling and calling. I make things happen faster when I do that But then again I don't want to get on their nerves. Just enough for them to remember me. Lol

  18. Good luck with your liquid diet. I started eating as if I had surgery, bigger portion than with sleeve of course. I gave up sweets, bread, pastas, and basically any bad carbs. I've been on a low carb diet. Not really counting Calories. I didn't want to go cold turkey giving things up the week if liquid diet. lol enjoy your last few naughty food. I'm happy for you. Soon I'll be starting mine. Can't wait.
