1. Thanks so much for your time and advice. I feel better just knowing there are many others out there that can relate so closely to my "issues". Thanks for being there.
2.
Stupid question - how do I move my thread down with the others? I don't understand why it's on top of the other threads - which is where I wanted it. I'm sorta computer illiterate.

3. I am 1 1/2 years from my banding - and I am still stuck at a loss of 10-15 pounds (due to no fault of the band, lack of effort on my part) I feel like I am the only one that has failed at the lap band. I know that my family and friends (although they don't say much to me) wonder why the h*ll I'm not any thinner. I am absolutely embarrassed to go into public - I live in a small town and most everyone knows that I had the band put in - and I feel like everyone looks at me and wonders why I'm still fat. My daughter's parents' night for basketball is tonight - and although I want to be out there with her, part of me wishes I could hide in the bathroom until the introductions are over. I am really depressed about this. I know that it is my own fault - ice cream, potato chips, calorie laden drinks, etc. I need help bad, and I'm hoping someone out there can relate??? I have post-poned my 1 year check (should've been in May 2008) because I am sooooo embarrassed. I did finally reschedule it for Oct. 17 - and come hell or high water, I'm going. I think this is a huge step in trying to get back on track. Hope someone out there will respond. thanks
4. After being in hiding for the last 6 months - here I am again. I'm still doing the same - failing and getting more depressed about it! I have cancelled and rescheduled my 1 year appointment (May 2008) many times - with the hope that I would miraculously lose weight before going for another fill. I am SOOOOOOO addicted to carbs - it's driving me crazy. I can't each much, because of the band - but what I do eat is all the wrong stuff - ice cream, chips, regular pop - AHHHHHHHH! Please help me! I'm so discouraged and frustrated.
5. I think this is where I need to be - with others having similar issues with the Band. I was banded on May 21, 2007 - almost a year ago and I have lost (are you ready for this?) FIFTEEN pounds. I feel like the biggest Lap Band failure EVER. And to make matters worse, I live and work in small towns - EVERYONE knows your business, so I am constantly being asked how much I've lost with the Band. I am absolutely humiliated when I have to say "15 pounds", because it's been the same answer for 8 months! I did have a real problem with vomiting (sometimes 6 times per day), which caused me to have slow weight loss due to not keeping enough, if any, protein down, so I had an unfill. But, I now have 3.25 cc in my 4 cc band. I have to admit that I hadn't got it thru my head, until recently, that the Band is only a tool - and it doesn't work by itself. I was told that time and time again, but I was hoping all the doctors and nurses were wrong - GUESS WHAT?? They knew what they were talking about. So, I have admitted that problem. I feel like I'm doing better - but not like I should be. I'm TRYING to count calories now, also. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time. Glad I found you all!
6. Hi there! I am new to this site, and am here upon recommendation from a new friend I've met thru a support group in our area. I am hoping someone reading this will have been in my shoes and can offer some promising advice. I was banded on May 21, 2007 - coming up on 1 year. I have lost 15 pounds - no, I haven't left out any numbers by mistake - FIFTEEN pounds in 1 year. I am VERY depressed about this. I admit that for many months I was hoping that the band would work by itself, and I didn't try real hard. I have now realized that what I was told during my pre-op consultation is TRUE - the band is a tool to help with weight loss, but it will not work on its own. I feel like I am now ready to begin my journey in working with the band - 1 year later. I feel like a total failure. Last weekend, I attended a Lap Band support group in my area - what a great step that was! I live in a rural area, so the fact that we have a support group is amazing! Please respond! Thanks
