  2. hi Sunta, im here in Philly to, wow I cant believe some places wont take the food. I would just leave a care package to someone if you can. There are a lot of starving people here in the city.
  3. i m just 8 weeks post op and I really have no problem with any type of food. I can eat eggs, bread, pasta, chicken, steak etc. Is this normal? I sometimes get the golfball feeling but other than that I never had a bad experience. Sometimes I say hey band are you in there? I eat small meals a day, stopping when I feel satisfied, not in pain. Im still learning about being a bandster and just wanted to know if this is normal. I have no fill as of yet and what I can eat changes daily. Some days Im just not hungry, other days im starving. I mostly eat protein, veg and minimal starch. Even had 2 slices of pizza on Friday. I just wanted to find out if this is the norm or is this a sign that I need a fill. I seem to be loosing 1 to 2 a week.
  4. mine is 'Madge"
  5. Tuesday Feb 28th HUP Philadelphia, PA Dr. Noel Williams 30 lbs lost 7 weeks post op - no fills yet
  6. I had my surgery on A Tues and stayed in the hosp for 2 days. I was pretty beat up for the first week. Week 2 I felt much better. I was able to take 2 weeks off of work and glad I did. The day after surgery I did nothing, lay in the hosp bed and walk the halls. I was in a lot of pain from cutting the muscles. Over all im 7 weeks out and happy as can be!!

  9. Hi Paula, I get them in the local supermarket frozen food section. Im sure every store has them. They are really good. I still eat ground beef but these are a nice change. I patty is only 90 calories! with a roll, lettuce tomatoe, and a veg it makes a nice healthy meal!
  10. Pug mom, sorry i read your post wrong! yahoo for Boca!
  11. Pugmum why dont you eat them now since being banded? I find they fit into my diet great.
  12. I have 4 small 1/2 inch incisions and 1 large 4 inch incision where my port is. They are purple now and 2 of the smaller ones have thicker scabs so I will have a thicker scar. Mt dermatologist said they will smooth out ober time and wont be as noticeable. I use merderma on my scars. Im not concerned about scarring as much as I was concerned about my weight problem. Im down 30lbs and im 7 weeks post op!! :clap2:
  13. how about a Boca burger and a small salad
  14. I will try making this! Soup seems to be a Bandsters best friend and I love it! Thanks again!
  15. you and you family are stunning!
  16. Yes, you can add the Pbutter to shakes. I do it and it taste great. Sometimes I add a banana or some other fruit, Some people even add egg beaters. Have you tried egg drop soup? That is good also
  17. Im 7 weeks post op. You should only be doing liquids no and protein drinks, or as your doc ordered. I was put on mushies at 10 days post op. I had eggs, peanut butter, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese and did the isopure drinks for 14 days post op. You may feel tired but that will pass. I still do a high protein shake weekly.
  18. I was interested in your cream of crab soup recipie? Sounds yummy. Can you post it? thanks
  19. Hi all.... I just wanted to let you know that I tried Boca Burgers and they are great. Im 7 weeks out and find it a great meal for a Bandster. High Protein, low cal., soft texture, easy to digest. I hope to try the other products.

  25. thank you for your post jessiebear. I have been doing chicken soup today and no heartburn so far, so I may need to slow down a bit. I was always a fast eater so I have to take things slow. I do get that weird tight feeling in the chest but never once did I vomit.
