  1. UPDATE: so I called my dr today to see if they had sent in the new referral for the surgery. They again told me I wasn't doing the right program and that I would need to do their weight watchers program to even qualify. I got really upset and had a good 10 min. Later in the day the first of the two nutritionist I talked called to let me know the surgery center/second nutritionist called about my weight to go over things. She seemed excited so it got my hopes up but I explained all that had been happening so she called my insurance to see what was going on and I guess the lady said it shouldn't be denied but we will see and also got a comment that it looks like I'm doing good on my own. So she also seemed a bit worried that why would deny it because I'm losing weight on my own. Now I feel like im doomed if I do or don't lose weight. I need this help. I don't want this body anymore I feel like I'm dragged threw the mud. The only good thing is I reached my first goal. I started at 352. My first goal was 330. I finally made it. -22 lbs. I don't feel like I lost 22lbs
  2. I will take a photo the day I go into surgery. I have enough "before" photos to last a life time I don't drink soda and RARELY caffeine until it's naturally in tea I drink. And I do try to walk that much but that's my struggle. I have been working on it.
  3. How are things going
  4. I'm getting so scared they are going to deny me. I've been following my insurances guidelines but the past two-three months I have plateaued in my weightloss. I keep changing things to try and drop the weight but aside from liquid diet idk what else to do.. I don't drink soda or alcohol I try my hardest to avoid carbs, I eat at regular times, I'm trying to be a lot more active, .. I'm so scared they will deny me for the last of weight loss... and then I was denied because the doctor didn't send in the paperwork right.. but the insurance said just have them resubmit it.. I just want this change in my life to keep moving forward. Also I don't eat much because I eat off kid size plates but I'm stuck with my weight.
  5. I know this feeling. You have to remember it's "discipline is the difference of what you want right now and what you want the most"
  6. That's awesome. Congratz
  7. Hi I'm also from hemet and I hope you are still on this journey. I don't know who the surgeon is yet either

  9. I don't have a surgery date yet. But I'm 26 and a mother of one and married. I'd love more buddies as well.
  10. Thank you I added you
  11. I started my process on 3/2/17. So I'm not to far ahead of you. I am struggling with food log though. I also got a fit bit to monitor my movement and such so that has been a help. But I need to do the psych evaluation and a few more things. I'm so nervous and I choose bypass as well
  12. I see. Well hopefully I can figure all this out. I'm so nervous still
  13. I am but I don't like to give out that one personally sorry. I did link my email above if you wanna add me to fit bit
  14. Oops I did see to forget to put my own email up there. It's vixian@icloud.com I'll accept anyone who adds me.
  15. Awesome. What kind of things did they ask?
  16. I'm looking for a few more Fitbit friends to keep me motivated. I have a pretty sedentary life and I'm slowly fixing it. So far I think I get about 4-5k steps a day
  17. Thank you! I added you. Mine is Vixian@icloud.com
  18. Yeah I just got a Fitbit yesterday. It's already showing me the wonders. I have reminders set as well and the sleep tracker is nice.
  19. Thank you for taking time to respond to me. My son is very important to me and it a very big reason I'm wanting to get healthier. So far I'm on a diet of 1400-1500 calories, high fiber diet and protein diet. She said it will be 6 months from the time she submitted the paper work. Currently I try to stay about 1400. My insurance is Medi-cal/IEHP. I also know a lot of my family is afraid of me having the surgery. I'm scared but I'm very much set on getting it. Last night I made the mistake of eating too much after about two weeks of good eating and my stomach told me I made a mistake big time. So I've made a promise to myself to never go to any 'all you can eat' things ever again.
  20. Hello. Im 26 and a mom. I currently weigh 352 and I'm starting this journey towards gastric bypass and I have met with a dietitian. She submitted the paper march 2. But aside from the 2 week before and the two week after diets, I really don't know what all I need to do to be approved. I also known there is a pysch eval and a Class. But what else?
