  1. Hi All, I'm 2.5 weeks post MGB and was down 1 stone in first 10 days, but I haven't lost anything for the last 7 days, I'm sticking to the plan and started on soft foods a few days ago but the weight loss has stalled, has anyone else experienced this and should I be concerned ? Thanks

    Looking for 1st hand feedback

Hi there, i had MGB 10 weeks ago and down 30 lbs, i would highly recommend it, i'm just sorry i didn't do it years ago! I feel great, there is a slight adjustment period to what you can and can't eat, i can pretty much eat anything now, just smaller portions and obviously limit sugar and fat to a minimum, white bread is the only thing that i absolutely avoid, it feels like it goes into a ball in my stomach, but to be honest i dont miss it. Trying to get enough fluids in for the first few weeks is the hardest but managable. i was back to work within a week of hte surgery (office work) i was tired for a couple of weeks and the discomfort/pain is minimal. IF you have any specific questions please let me know and i will answer as best i can for you Best of luck, its changing my life........

    MGB weight loss stalled

Thanks for the replies, thankfully its moving nicely again, and i'm down 30lbs now after 10 weeks, so its averaging out now, for anyone that has a stall, dont worry they are temporary, just have to have the patience to ride them out. Also i think it helps that i am now able to eat a bit more which is actually helping with the weight loss ironically!
  4. Hi there, how r u doing? I had MGB in March with Dr Chris, doing well, I'm down 1 stone 5 lbs and I feel great, weight loss has slowed down a lot but I'm feeling like I'm still losing, I find it's important to eat often as you can only eat small bits at a time
  5. Thanks Jackie, that's incredible really, you must be thrilled, yes I'm kind of prepared mentally for the big change, but obviously still very nervous but it's reassuring to hear from someone who has been through it, I plan to be back in work in 10 days post op, I work in an office so do you think that's realistic? Any other tips? Thanks for your post x
  6. Hi there, I'm a newbie here and off to Belgium next week for my MGB, any tips, advice or anything would be appreciated from you guys that have been through it, I can't wait but I'm getting very nervous now, thanks 🙈
