    That sounds like an approval. They add the precertification is not a guarantee of coverage as a way to CYA.

    I am on anthem and have a 35 with co-morbidities and my doctor told me to be a pound lighter at my 6 month weigh in so my BMI doesn't drop below 35.

    How exciting! I have Anthem as well and my surgeon's office told me they send their approvals within a week. I am in the 6 month waiting period now.
