  3. I am May 2nd as well. Started pre opt diet Tuesday so rough, and not looking forward to the weekend. Goodluck
  4. Really depends on the doctor. Some are two shakes and just one meal with 4oz of meat two cups of veggies, others three shakes a day, some don't have pre opt diet, so many variations
  5. 2 weeks so I guess I can't complain too much
  6. Well it's day two of my pre-opt liquid diet and I'm starving. I can hear my co-workers crunching away on food:(
  7. I'm two weeks away from surgery. My nurse mentioned many patients take biotin to help with hair loss , wondering if it works but I'll definitely try for my nails:)
  8. Does taking biotin really help prevent hair loss?

  16. I am down about 5 still got a week and 1/2 to go. I am trying to bump up my working out and of course I have a bad cold. Tomorrow I find out if I'm cleared to go ahead with surgery ? and today I had a gauntlet of tests, this process is demanding I hope it's all worth it and get a surgery date.
  17. Thank you!! I need some motivation
  18. I need to lose 10 to 15 pounds by my next appointment in 2 1/2 week. The diet is to eat how I would if i was post opt. I'm really scared it won't work. It took me like 6 months to lose 20 on my own doing personal training before. Pretty frustrated too I just want to be approved and a date it's all I can think about.
  19. Thank you! CapeCronner that's exactly what I need to hear at the moment
  20. I just came back from my first support group meeting you are required to do two before surgery. The group is a mix of pre and post op. I am completely discourage I felt like it was just everyone telling you what you can never have again post sleeve. I know that it's a lifestyle change and things are hard after but just hearing all the post opts just telling you what you can never have again and the chewing slow forever and no water with meals my brain feels like it's gonna explode and now I'm like what am I getting myself into. Support group had the opposite effect tonight [emoji26]
  21. This was really helpful thanks Midwestgirl. I just got a call today from the bariatric nurse that my ck levels are elevated and my ekg was abnormal. Waiting to hear back from my pcp. Worried it's going to make the process longer or I have a heart condition.
  22. Working out pre sleeve surgery is so hard I can feel the weight holding me back from pushing harder.
  23. Right! I can relate. I'm 280 and have alot to lose, maybe I hide it well but I feel it everyday and in everything I do. I'm excited to take the next steps.
  24. Thank you [emoji4] great advice. Glad I joined this site so helpful !
