  2. Do you have monthly meetings with your nutritionist? That has helped me a lot with ensuring I know exactly what to eat and how much. It also helps me to be able to ask them "is this normal" questions. Like, why do i not lose weight for 2-3 weeks then Bam, a huge weight loss week 4. Or why is it some days I feel totally restrictive and then other days I feel I can eat like a normal person. Totally normal on both accounts for bariatric patients. Just keep making sure you are getting your protein in, little to no carbs, drink lots of water, avoid slider foods and caffeine. I've lost a total of 74 pounds since May 2nd. I've learned on the weeks when the scale doesn't move, to just be patient. It will eventually.
  3. For hot stuff, I wait and add after I've heated my food up. Then I use a little whisk to blend it in.

  5. I was all set to submit my paperwork to insurance. Didn't realize i needed a medical release from my primary care. She wouldn't write the letter until I had a chest X-ray, saw a Pulmonologist, cardiologist and hematologist. Put me and my surgery way behind. At least my doctor is thorough! But a big pain in the butt.
