Thank you everyone for your encouraging words! I made this post because for 12 years, my husband and I have struggled with infertility. I was always told by my doctors that our biggest obstacle was my weight. Somehow miraculously if I lost all the excess weight, my problems would resolve. So far none of that has happened. I know that this surgery is not a magic wand and I never expected it to be. I'm putting in hard work to see changes. It's just discouraging to hear my entire life to "just lose weight" and then when I do, it's still not helping. I almost feel like the doctors refused to help me due to my weight, gave me an excuse and sent me on my way without actually looking into the problem. It wasn't until I was 25 that I was diagnosed with PCOS, I'm currently 30, never had a "normal" cycle except when I took birth control pills through my teenage years. Praying that this surgery helps me and the rest of us struggling. I'm a better person now and working to be healthier than before. One day at a time.
