Walking
As of now before surgery, I take 10,000 -15,000 steps a day depending. My set goal is always 10,000. After surgery, my Doctor said to change the goals. Start at 3,000/4,000/5,000/6,000 etc. each day until I get back up to my current goal.

There is nothing sad about that. Tripods are awesome. Listen, if you feel she maybe the woman for you then go for it. You feelings of whether she would be Vindictive is a valid point and concern. That's mainly why people don't like dating co-workers. I mean since you guys work remotely, you it may work out

Weight gain after having a baby..
This is something that scares me. My SO wants to start having children 5 years from now and I worry about weight gain, cravings and the possibility harming the baby if I don't properly. I wonder would the child be under weight, malnutritioned or sickly because of the decision I am making now. I understand how you are feeling.

Natural Hair and Bariatric Surgery
Omg lol I am worried about my edges. I have fine hair and the worst thing is thinning fine hair. That was making me worry a lot about the procedure but I realized that I can buy hair but I cannot buy a new me and I cannot buy more time on this earth. I want to live the remaining years I have happy healthy and full of life as I can. That matters more.

Pre Op Binge
I started getting back on board today. I drank 70 oz of Water and I have yet to stop going to the bathroom. It is insane how hungry I do not feel because I am eating the right foods and drinking tons of water. I noticed that the only times I thought I was hungry was when I was around junk food. It was hard to say no but I did. I am very proud. I hope to keep this up

@clc9 now thinking about it, I do agree. I have never dated anyone I worked with. Besides, could it be that you have not connected with her in the way you would have hoped? I say try the dating apps. If you do not fear rejection, I am sure you will be able to find a nice female. As far as not being able to tell someone you aren't into them can be difficult but stringing someone along can be emotional damaging too.

New to dating
@sgc hmmm, interesting. What is with the change in attitude today? You had such a positive spirit prior. I am wondering if maybe you are not ready to start actively dating just yet. Maybe you need to reach your weight goal first. Maybe dating should be placed on the back burner for now. You may need to get to know you, the new you...the healthy you before you decide to date. For me, it will be remembering who I was before I gained all my weight and because self-conscious. Focus on you right now. I know this is cliche, but when you are ready you will know you are ready to date.

Drain Tube
This is a good question. My surgeon never mentioned a drain. I will speak to him about it on the 28th

@sgc you got this!!! Just continue making her laugh and asking questions about her. She will be impressed. Also let her know a little bit about you. Then schedule a time to hangout after work. Make the first move for hanging out. A sure fire way that you can tell if a girl is interested, is by the length of her response. If she uses mostly 1 - 4 word responses and do not add any detail, then you know. If her responses are detailed and long, then she is interested in keeping the conversation going. (Do note that some people cannot carry written messages but however can carry a verbal conversation. And then there are those who can do both). From reading your post, she can do both. I am sure you are reading this thinking, how can this possibly help me? Well, it is the trivial things that can tell you who a person is.

Natural Hair and Bariatric Surgery
I do not think you should cancel your surgery because the possibility of hair loss. Not everyone experiences hair lost from what I have read. A lot of people also said that the Vitamins have helped limit the amount of shedding that they received. To be honest, there is a pretty wig from FauxFro that I have been eyeing so that would be awesome to purchase!!! A little gift from me to me lol

Just saying hi!
Congrats!! I will be sleeved at the end of March. I have already planned for 9 days off after the surgery so I can just focus on recovery. Can I ask how was the first week after surgery for you guys?

Pre Op Binge
Don't give up. Think of the goal in the end. Pick a day that you start over. I mean completely over. You get back on track. My day is this Friday. I will not allow myself to keep going down this road. I picked Friday because I have off. I don't eat a lot of junk when I am off of work. I will use that time to cook and meal prep for the week.

United Health Care Insurance
My weight history was not a requirement but my surgeon said to get it anyway just in case. When I went in 2015, my 8 year history went back as such: 2009 (18): 151lbs 2010 (19): 193lbs 2011 (20): 216lbs 2012 (21): 239lbs 2013 (22): 254lbs 2014 (23): 278lbs 2015 (24): 270lbs 2016 (25): 260lbs I rapidly gained weight over the years. My surgeon wanted to know my weight history for his own records. I have been overweight my entire life.

United Health Care Insurance
I did not get diagnosed with pre-diabetes until November of 2016. They still approved me. I think it has to do more with what the surgery can prevent. If you have been dieting on and off then that shows you have been trying. What also helped in my case is the fact that my weight plus working out caused me to break my ankle. My suggestion is to call UHC speak with a Representative. Also ask them to check in with the Pre-Authorization department.

New to dating
Aww. Listen, just cause she had 900 fb "friends" ( and I quote friends because most of those people are just there for numbers), does not mean anything. She liked them, probably to let you know she was single. I Ave done that before. Continue to talk to her. I know it is difficult but you can do it. We are supporting you!!!

No one understands!
Omg congrats!! ☺?I am schedule for March 26th. It is exciting but nerve wrecking. I am making so many changes in my life all at once. I am like go big or go home at this point. I just don't want to spend the other half of my twenties hiding anymore. I used to think that I was meant to be this big and I would get bigger because that was going to be my life. My dad is overweight, my older brother is husky, my grandfather was overweight, my greatfather was overweight and the list goes on. I come from a long line of obesity but I wanted to stop it at me. I wanted diabetes and heart disease to stop with me. I am hoping that I can. It is just sad that my friends cannot understand were I am at.

Mentor Wanted
I am looking for a sleeve mentor to assist me on my journey. Someone whom has gone through all the struggles and can shed some light on what may happen and how it will work. As I do not have too many people in my life that have gone through the surgery whom is around my age, I do not have anyone to talk about the personal things. I am looking for a "Big Sisleever" or "Big Broleever" (like the big brother, big sister program lol). I have done a lot of research on WLS but it is better to hear it from someone who has been down that road. I really do appreciate your assistance.
