Omg! Lately my nose has gotten so sensitive to smells. When my mom cuts open an orange I have to smell it because it just smells like it would taste so good!
Yeah! Definetly a pillow for the ride home! I took a spare change of clothes (something loose that won't bother your stomach incisions) and of course the necessary toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash wipes). Other then that you won't need much else. I slept for most of the day of and morning after before I was released. I would prep more for after you get home (Like the clear liquids you'll need and some form of stool softener).
XD well I am very glad it's not only me. (last night was a California Burrito[emoji47]) I am still on the pureed foods stage so I am almost positive that has something to do with it. I do find myself craving a lot so battling with my mind has been a challenge but eating the puree reminds me just how small my stomach is, and how it can't handle that stuff anymore.
I can sort of relate only l was 328 so I can say I was definetly "big enough". I made the mistake of telling my brother who discouraged me and told me not to recieve the WLS. He asked me just to try the diet he was on and asked me many questions about what kind of fitness routine I was doing. I love my brother so it was very hard to handle this even if he did mean well. I have been overweight most of my life and have tried and failed at many diet trends. I didn't want to try another diet I wanted a lifestyle change. Something I was sad he didn't understand because we both come from the same "hefty size" family. While I did take his POV into consideration, I finally had to do what I thought would work for my body. It's my body so it's my choice. Tbh I'm glad I didn't listen and had the surgery. I'm not far out but already I feel so much better in my daily life with mobility, health issues and self esteem!
This might sound super silly....but I keep having dreams of eating things I can't have! Is this happening to anyone else? For instance, I just woke up from a dream in which I ate an entire pizza with ranch and parmesean. Im about 40 days out from surgery. These dreams are killing me!! [emoji25][emoji31][emoji22][emoji24](I don't even think normally I could have eaten a whole pizza....[emoji47])
Not to mention you have a smaller stomach and need to put things that will give you the most nutrition in first. Already you won't absorb nutrients as well as you did before hand, that's why you'll be taking vitamins. So putting in good food as opposed to food that's not so good for you is key. At least that's kinda how it was explained to me. Still if your stomach can handle it I'm sure flubs now and then won't hurt you?
Thanks I'll have to try that! I had been using premier protien and the Isopure (the Isopure is absolutely disgusting). So trying new ones might help!!!
Has anybody tried flavorless protien? I just can't stand how a lot of the protien drinks taste. I figured maybe I could just add it to the pureed foods I'm able to eat. I'm struggling to get my protien in. I can't even manage 60g. I'm about 24 days out from sleeve surgery.
Yeah! I just started puree food and I stopped loosing weight. It's a little scary. I'm going to try and walk for longer to see if that helps. Also having trouble getting all my protien in.
