  1. Great! I'm in Bellmore PM... Meet up details
  2. I am currently living this nightmare.
  3. Do you have any 42, 44, left and work shirts button downs polos etc? I'm in Nassau can meet up.
  4. Beyond the Multivitamin and Calcium supplements which I take everyday... Is there anything else you post sleevers swear by? Additionally I will be starting with a personal trainer soon, is anything you guys take to get an extra boost at the gym?
  5. My gym was having a sale on personal training sessions and I purchased 20 of them. I got sleeved April 25th and starting the PT sessions on June 18th with the plan to go 2x a week. I was very open with the trainer about my surgery and goals. He said hes had many clients in the past who were bariatric patients, knowing that helped put my mind at ease. Of course my goal is to lose weight and see the scale numbers go down but my real focus is getting healthier and fit.
  6. A good friend used Dr Ahmad I went to Winthrop with Dr. Barkan
  7. I'm on Long Island too who did your surgery?
  8. Amen to fitting in an airline seat but I'm looking forward to not having to test the laws of physics anytime I sit in a backyard chair at a bbq Also riding roller coasters again.
  9. Where I work everyone gossips and I've been dreading this converstation... So I came up with a plan of action during my 6month pre op I took a walk everyday at lunch and made sure people saw me, I drank Lean Body Protein Shakes for breakfast and lunch and made sure ppl saw me. I took the stairs 5 flights up instead of the elevator everyday and you guessed made sure ppl saw me. Now when people ask if I lost weight I can say why yes "enter lbs lost" since July... Thursday is my 1st day back at work I took a week and a half so only time will tell if my plan will work.
  10. I would love to get down to a normal BMI which for my height would be 170 but willing to sacrifice weight for muscles. Honestly thou I take anything less then 200 hahaha

  12. I started the process in August with the goal of being sleeved in Feb. My insurance required a 6 month supervised diet. My biggest delay was getting a CPAP machine after being diagnosed with sleep apnea. They required me to us it for 4 weeks prior to submitting the forms to insurance. I just got my surgery date on Friday around 3rd.

  17. My wife and I just got approved and our surgeries are scheduled for Mar 27 (her) and April 25 (me). We're so excited! Are there other couples out there who took the leap together? What can we expect caring for each other and such...
