  1. Congratulations on 10lbs lost! How wonderful for you! Have you gotten yourself set for the next stage of your eating plan? I have prepared small portions in the freezer of broth for the early days. Also waiting for some protein shakes to be delivered this week. Would that help you too? I'm no cook so just ordered from the health food store and packaged into smaller containers in the freezer. So happy for you that it's working out. I hope mine will also work out well.
  2. Thank you everyone! I went to tell my boss today and just called it minor laparoscopic surgery that would require 2 weeks hospitalization leave and that was accepted without any further questions! I'm glad I was prepared with some options thanks to all of you and was relieved to not lie although I was prepared to in order to protect my privacy.
  3. So happy for you! I haven't been sleeved yet but it's just days away. How are you doing with the liquid diet?
  4. I need to use what we call "hospitalization leave" for the surgery and recovery period. I work for a large company and this will be no problem but my colleagues will know that I took hospitalization leave and will inevitably ask what for. I don't want to tell anyone about my sleeve surgery. Any ideas on what else I could say I went in for? My husband and BFF are the only ones who know.
  5. Have you tried adding an oily supplement? Fish oil or evening primrose oil? I find that helps. Also add a face oil to your evening routine. Coconut oil left on overnight might not be great for pores in the long term. Great for getting makeup off though.
  6. I've heard that the recovery time for TT is considerably longer than for the sleeve. Is that your experience and how did you cope with it?
  7. I'm sorry that your boyfriend is not supportive. Is there a supportive friend who can be your support through this? Have you got a date yet? Whatever happens, make your choices for yourself and not anyone else.
  8. Wow! 100lbs in a year is so impressive. What would you advise a newbie who is about to get sleeved?
  9. So how did it go? My date is for late March and wondering what to expect.
  10. How exciting for you! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  11. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Very motivating! I'll have my surgery at the end of March. The skin removal sounds like it was more of an ordeal to get over than the sleeve. How long after the surgery did you do yours?
  12. Hi! I'm having the scope in two weeks. Has anyone here done the surgery already? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
