  1. At my heaviest I was 640. Over a couple of years (like 4) I got down to 510 then stalled. I started the surgery process, got down into the 470's for the surgery (1-23-17). Today I was 460. Trying to hit 230.
  2. "You wearing a wire?" "You writing a book?" "What do you plan on doing with that information?" These are a few of my favorites. Oddly, people will laugh, but I'm being serious.
  3. Don't let it get you down. You know what you're looking to accomplish and don't be diverted from your goal. My insurance wanted 6 months of preop dieting (2lbs a month). I went to all the required preop stuff (pulmonologist, cardiologist, psychologist, etc). Everything is set, until they realized they put the wrong dates on the Cardiologist clearances and it will expire before my surgery, start that over. Pushes surgery into new year AND new deductible. You still won't make me quit. Got the surgery done, last Monday, the 23rd! You've come farther than you think, just deciding to make the change, you can cover the rest of the ground.
  4. I've used it for awhile and never paid for the premium. You can still track all the food you eat and exercise so I didn't see the point.
  5. Hi Misty, I had my surgery, Monday the 23rd. Glad to help in any way I can.
  6. No problem! Any questions, let me know. I just had the surgery myself, but I can probably answer pre-op stuff. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

  9. It seems like the starting weight would be the what you were as of your surgery. After reading through, the figure seems to be based on the surgery alone, what lifestyle changes (exercise, etc.) you make along with it will impact the figure. Like working on a car. I may strip out a bunch of weight to go faster, but I still have to do some work under the hood to win. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

  14. Hello everyone! I just had my operation on Monday, the 23rd. I found this forum and thought I would share a bit of my history. I learned how out of control my weight had become by accident. My little brother used to save all our cans and recycling so he could offset his allowance. You go to the plant and they weigh your car before and after. You get paid the difference. We unload and go to weigh out. I wanted to grab the receipt from the clerk so I had to step out. The scale dropped massively. The clerk (and myself) were shocked. I had made it up to approx 650lbs. I dropped my brother back off at home and I realized I had to make some changes. Over the years I managed to get down to about 510. I stalled there for a couple years so I decided to opt for the surgery. I got down to 470 as of the date of the surgery. Pain was pretty high, just today getting up easier. Looking forward to getting back into the gym and boxing again. My goal weight is (just an idea in my head, no science) is about 230. Looking forward forward to seeing what the thinner me is like. Good luck to everyone in their progress also! Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App
