Looking for anyone that used Dr Naik in Bakersfield CA

I wanted to find out and if anyone had used this surgeon for their surgery??

I have 2 more classes and I just scheduled my surgeon appointment with Dr. Naik of Bakersfield I am super excited and cannot wait till May 16 I am hoping to have surgery at the end of May I will keep everyone posted I have been cleared for surgery approval for the insurance has been completed and now this appointment.

I still have 2 more weeks of class but I've dropped well over the 10% that KAISER wanted me to lose in my class I don't think many people lost their 10% my paperwork has been submitted to my insurance company for approval and as soon as I'm done with my classes I can make an appointment with the surgeon

Hi ShelbyMoore In the Options class they put you on a certain amount of calories per day and they teach you all that during the class that's what I have been doing as far as losing weight. If you don't hear back from them by Monday I would definitely give them a call back but they probably will contact you good luck with your classes the time will go by very quickly.

I have Kaiser I am taking the bariatric option program in Bakersfield California we have to take a 12 week class during that time you do your Psych Evaluation pre opts and dietician appointments. I start my 10th week next week they submitted my paperwork to KAISER for authorization for the surgery and they also gave me the name of 3 surgeons and phone numbers which I have called and I am trying to decide which one to go with they said usually you get an appointment within 1 week after your class is finished and they will schedule surgery within 1 to 2 weeks after that some doctors require you to lose more weight but I am hoping I will not have to lose anymore I've already lost 42 pounds in the class so far they told us that we need to lose 10% which mine was 29 pounds but I've exceeded well over that. The classes are very informative and I feel they are very important to take. Hoping for a surgery date at the end of May or the first week in June good luck to you if you have any questions let me know. Tammy

I have Kaiser Insurance and it was a breeze the psychologist is looking to make sure you are not suicidal and you do not have any major issues I found out pretty much that day that I was fine with my Psych Evaluation.

I called for my medical clearance today and they told me everything's been cleared they are submitting all my paperwork to KAISER for approval.

All my paperwork was submitted to KAISER today hoping for a fast reply back I still have three weeks of classes

Hi everyone hope everyone's good I finished my 9th week of classes yesterday and I have 3 more weeks left with KAISER options I've lost 40 pounds so far I have definitely hit my 10% mark that goal was 29 pounds. I am going to be calling today for my appointment for medical clearance and then hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll be meeting with the surgeon and get my surgery date getting so excited.

In your classes did you have to lose 10% if so did you lose all that you needed to per their requirement I have about 4 1/2 more pounds to lose and then I've met it. And I still have 6 weeks left of classes

Lucky you tomorrow is my six week out of 12 weeks with KAISER Bakersfield Ca Have you already met with the surgeon or not yet let us know how long it takes to get a surgery date I'm very curious. Congrats [emoji322][emoji322]

You guys are lucky that you don't have to take a 12 week class in order to have the procedure done but in some ways I am glad that I'm taking this class I have learned a lot in the 5 weeks and they also prepare us for what's to comegood luck to both of you girls that are at Fremont Kaiser I am know you guys will do great make sure all of you keep in touch to let us know when your surgery dates are I'm hoping for the end of May or June

I've lost a total of 25 pounds since I started Kaisers Options class I still need to lose 8 more pounds and I have about 7 more weeks of class. I also have been using the FitBit which I love so much it shows you so much that you do throughout the day. After my class I'm hoping I get an appointment with the surgeon right away and get to have my surgery within 2 to 3 weeks after that date.

Let me know also if you don't have to take classes because most Kaiser patients have to take some type of classes so I'm 12 weeks some 24 that I've heard of. Hopefully you don't have to take Many that would be great

During the first and second week of my class I had my lab work EKG psych evaluation and my health assessment so everything is done except for meeting with the surgeon towards the end. Yes let's definitely keep in touch

I had my orientation February 7 and in that class afterwords they signed everybody up for their Options class I started mine on February 21st I have my 5th class tonight and there is a total of 12 classes. It does go by very quick so far I have lost 20 pounds since starting my class I have 9 more pounds to lose. They want me to lose a total of 29 pounds during the class they told us that after the class they make an appointment with the surgeon usually 1 to 2 weeks after and then hopefully I will have surgery soon after

I am hoping for a May/June date I will be your buddy though I am in classes with Kaiser Insurance right now I have my 5th class tomorrow night out of 12. What are your requirements for your insurance company do you have any and where are you at what state I am in California

I have Kaiser insurance and we had to have an EKG within the first two weeks of our classes I would think your doctor would order it.

Right after my orientation they did have you fill out a form for classes I started 2 weeks after I'm on week 4

Mine was super easy she just asked me a couple questions about binge eating and purging asked about when I started gaining weight when I eat on a daily basis now about exercising I didn't even have to fill out a questionnaire at the end lasted about 25 minutes it was no biggie with Kaiser insurance

My Psych Evaluation was yesterday, I have Kaiser insurance it was perfect it was a breeze for me she didn't ask me anything out of the ordinary she just asked me about my life and I had to explain about my eating habits what I eat now and it literally lasted about 25 minutes didn't have to fill out any questionnaire and she said everything was fine. So one more thing off my checklist.
