  2. Hello, I was extremely hungry post-op. I will tell you however, I am 3 weeks post-op. I am not hungry, but still very nauseated. I still find it hard to eat regular foods. I get weak because I am not able to eat. I am supposed to be 3-4 oz. I am still 1-2 oz and it takes me about an hour to get that down. I hope that your experience is better than mine.

  7. I am simply appalled that someone on this forum said that to you. Each and everyone's weight loss journey is their own. That person sounds self-righteous and may be dealing with negativity outside of this community in regards to their own weight loss journey. I wish they receive the mental help that they need. I know for myself at 5'3", I don't look so bad at 170. Our body make-ups are different as well. I have an athletic build, and if you are 5'9" and have a build anywhere near to the way mine is, I understand! Live your best life! Do not let anyone make those decisions for you. You know what's best for you. When you look in the mirror and smile, that is the important part...not what anyone here or elsewhere has to say about it. Stay positive.
  8. I told my family and friends. I did not tell my co-workers. As one member said, "some people can be very opinionated". I did this for myself, for my health, and for my quality of life. I am beginning to feel better emotionally already just 6 days post-op. I feel like the constant struggle is over. The loss of weight, the gain of weight, the stagnant non-loss of weight. The light at the end of the tunnel is bright.

  10. Try this recipe: Ingredients 1) 1 can tuna-white albacore packed in water (do not drain) 2) cilantro (fresh) 3) 1/2 clove garlic 4) 1 tbsp (low-fat mayo or pureed mushrooms or low-fat ricotta cheese) 5) water (1/2 ounce) Mix ingredients # 2,3,4,5 and puree Then mix ingredient # 1. Enjoy Increase or decrease water to desired consistency.
  11. I found that something tight but not too tight over the abdomen area helps with the pain. I had some workout shorts that had tummy control and they helped alot. It keeps everything from moving to much. At least in my case.
  12. okay, thanks. I will try that.
