  1. Sorry I meant she said 1hr and 15mins, then after surgery it should be up to 2hrs and 30s or 10000 steps. She's the psych with the weight clinic ugh lol
  2. It's really pissing me off because I got cleared by both dietician and bariatrician, I just needed the ok from the psychologist. Ever since I started the program I haven't gained a pound and have lost every visit. I've increased my activity by a great deal yet, it feels like she makes it seem as if it's no effort. I exercise for 45mins and I'm very independent, so I clean, cook, etc. while standing. Anyways she's saying that ppl who get the surgery are encouraged to exercise up to 2hrs and 1/2....Has anyone else been told this? Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk

  4. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I actually used my real name, besides using a unique screen name makes people mysterious and there are some names that a [emoji119][emoji119] lol Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  5. I also have Medicare...traditional and I absolutely hate it but I deal with it because I have a secondary one also, and the weight program I'm in accepts traditional Medicare instead of an advantage plan smh. Has your dr. Checked if you have any other health problems? I'm sorry your going through these issues.
  6. You're right and I agree with you 100% because I have seen it on IG, I've followed someone who promoted herself as losing weight the old fashioned way and is insanely popular but she boasted that it was all changing her lifestyle through the natural way. She posted a pic of her tummy and someone pointed out "hey did you have surgery? She had no choice and responded yes I had gastric bypass" I think these people are giving others false hope. If you wanna be a fitness guru, then be honest about it, because yes your inspiring but in a false way. Like you said promoting for tea or it works wraps, when you know damn well that's not helped you. I'm not a secretive person, I just don't like to surround myself with bitter, negative people that have nothing better to do than talk about "ohhh so and so was as big as cow, but look at her now, it must be the drugs" I've been around negative Nancy's most of my life and I gotta admit being away from them is blissful. They'll always creep up but, that's not priority. I have a IG for personal and WLS, do I plan on exploiting myself for a profit honestly "hell no" I've watched and researched about ppl in wheelchairs doing WLS and could only find 1, so I was pretty stumped and I know that there are others that are looking for help and not getting it. Thank you for responding back, I see that you're very active and speak your mind! We need more people like you [emoji5]
  7. Thank you...I was also torn between the 2 procedures. I was aiming towards the sleeve because I wanted my intestines intact because of the BM situation and also because I have a problem with malabsorping already. I liked RNY because I'm a sweet junkie, started to wean myself but I'm human I crave it. I know dumping isn't fun, but just the thought of it scares the crap out of me... But yes thanks for the advice and more would be loved if possible [emoji5]
  8. I don't really know what to say and I know I don't know you, but this has me [emoji26] and I really wish I could hug you!! [emoji8][emoji8]
  9. It's not about keeping it a secret or lying to people! I think peoples main concern is the outcome, especially if you get negative feedback. No-one is being fake or trying to sell themselves as something we're not. Everyone on here hears the same thing whether it be physician or loved ones, you need to lose weight or you'll die or have other health problems. Then when you seek for help and it's something that will help you, some people are against it. "Oh that's cheating, the easy way out, or etc" and what does that do to your mind, it MESSES IT UP! I for one have suffered with weight on and off and have a bone disease. I always hear you need to lose weight or why don't you go on a diet, not knowing that yes I've tried lots of diets, exercising and other things. But my situation changed when I became a quadriplegic. So some of you can say "yeah I don't care what people think and all that" but we're not the same as you! You're lucky you have the confident and personality you have. But please don't try to makes us feel as if we are lying to the world....aren't we all on here looking for advice?
  10. I personally told people that were going to be supportive. Why would I tell someone that's just going to be a negative Nancy and throw things in my face and preach hypocritical things. I made sure the main ones knew, and the rest that I felt that were going to be negative stay out of it. I learnt the first time when I got my accident...who's going to support you and who wants to see you fail. Because sadly friends and family at times love you, but they also love it when you fail, so they can feel better about themselves. So I'm doing this surgery for me and not them....I want my life to prosper and be healthier! Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  11. Talk to whoever provider the machine and let them know what's up. Some respiratory places don't tell you shizz sometime and always rush you out. Make a complain and tell those buttheads that you need mask that allows you to sleep on your tummy. Because they might not have but can refer you to someone that does
  12. I had my sleep apnea results the same morning after the study. It was just waiting for my machine. I love it to death and it's improved my sleeping habits by 100% wake up without any headaches and always feeling refreshed Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  13. I know it's hard but file an appeal....state why you need it and have doctors confirm why you need it. I'm studying in the healthcare/insurance area, so don't give up. Some insurance won't pay because it may not seem medically necessary but there is always a way, when it affects your health Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  14. Ok I know that I've had PCOS for years now but every physician I see, makes it seem as if it all in my head. I've always struggled with weight and the more I put on the more hairier and acanthosis areas I get, and it's embarrassing. So anyways I got my testosterone tested and it's extremely high 147 for total and 16 for free I think. So I was worried about my test results but my endocrinologist makes me feel as if it's nothing. Can any females experiencing PCOS give me some much needed advice [emoji5]
  15. We all have our guilty moments....for me it's Mexican food and tuna subs, I'm craving them so bad and the struggle is real. It may just be my bc pills or hormones Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  16. I know the feeling....was supposed to see the dietician 3 times it ended up being 7. Then had to make sure I'm ok meaning other health problems and now I still have 17 days to wait....just more motivation for me I guess lol Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  17. Maybe try vitd and calcium 50000...yes 50000 but you take it once a week. I have a problem with malabsorping, has nothing to do with surgery...but vitd and calcium levels having been improving a great deal. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  18. Thank you so much 4 this question...I've been asking the same thing myself. But for me I'm a incomplete quadriplegic Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  19. Lol I know my fatass is...shoot I need to get cleared with the exercising and then it'll be a go smh Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
