    Messed up already?

It's Day 3. I was sleeved wed morning (7am). I've had no problems with gas, walking or getting my liquids down. The only time I experience any discomfort is when I drink too fast. However, I can sip tons of liquid with no issues. Could I have mess up this early out? I'm concerned cause I can drink as much as I want with no issues at all... 7. Hello all! I am 11 days post op. Everything has been going well. I have no problems getting my liquids in or any of the heavier things (like mashed potatoes) while still on stage 2. I'm still on full liquids and scheduled to go to purée stage in 4 days. I'm struggling so hard with liquids. I want to go to purée stage so bad. I'll be honest, today I had 2 things on the purée stage and just chewed it really really well. I didn't have any issues. I'm terrified about tearing stitches but it seems some people go to purée straight out hospital. Can I get some advice? Anyone been on purée stage before 15 days post op? If I make sure foods are chewed super good, is it still dangerous? I feel like such a failure asking these questions so early out Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Honesty hour: need help

Thank you! You provided the best advice. I'll give them a call. My doctor actually advances me from Clear Liquids to full liquids like 4 days early because I was struggling with energy. I'll call my NUT and ask is it ok. And the few things I did eat, I chewed until I couldn't chew anymore and made sure it was literally mush but I think you're right about talking to my NUT. I just think I wanted to hear it here first to make sure they didn't think I was just being crazy and greedy or something Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

No. I think they have to be sugar free popsicles. The Outshine no sugar added worked wonders for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Returning to work

I am still hoping to be able to work next Monday after having the procedure Friday. I know it sounds optimistic but if it's not any worse than my gallbladder surgery I am hopeful Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App I would at least take 5-7 days off. I had surgery wed 1-18 and was supposed to go back to work tomorrow and I just can't do it. Hard to explain but I just don't think I can be anywhere for 8 hours Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Returning to work

Im hoping ill be ok i stock and order convenience stores. Which no heavy boxes just lot of bending and kneeling and walking and in and out of my car at least 12 to 15 times a day. Sent from my LG-K540 using the BariatricPal App I'm 5 days post op and bending is rough. It's doesn't hurt really bad but enough to say I shouldn't be bending. Also, I've been walking a lot the past few days. I went grocery shopping etc, but each day after about 2 hours of being out, I needed to come back home and lay down. I believe by day 7, I'll be really close to normal Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I survived!

I survived my first post surgery food outing with my family. They ordered a variety of fries, pancakes, chili cheese fries etc. I ordered chicken noodle soup with everything strained and just the broth. I sipped my chicken broth while they ate their delicious meals. I'm so proud! Feeling accomplished and feeling like I can do this!!! Btw, I was sleeved Wednesday 1-18 -17 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Messed up already?

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. I called the doctors office because I get too many fluids in. Have you tried different temperatures? I've heard of people not being able to tolerate cold or hot liquids but able to tolerate the other Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Had my sleeve done yesterday at 715 am. By 10 am I was in my hospital room. Doctor said I had a huge hiatal hernia that he had to repair. I truly believe that's where the pain is coming from. I've only had minimal pain (except for the first 3 hours). They actually anticipated I would be in the hospital a few days because of the hernia repair but I went home today. Feeling good and confident. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
