  1. Had my surgery 4/24 & Yea I’m feeling pretty good. No trouble getting in my liquids, going to bathroom regularly. Was getting a lil suspicious actually, bc I thought it was going to be worse. Still sore and tender but I haven’t needed pain meds since they stopped giving them to me in the hospital. I feel blessed.
  2. Anyone with this insurance have any insight to the approval process and their criteria? I'v heard its one of the more easier insurance companies to deal with and get approval from. I have my consult with my surgeon next week and I'm just praying its not another waste if time like my first go-around was. I had MVP and a diff bariatric group and it was a total waste of 6mos. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  3. omg I'm in the same boat! Last appt was on Monday, I checked my MVP portal on Tuesday just to see if it was submitted and it WAS, still says in progress but my anxiety level Is on 1000 and I am doing everything possible to keep myself from going on the website every 15 mins to check for updates! LOL!!! good luck to you! hope it all works out
  4. OMG ME TOOOOO!!!!! I am stressed to the max bc I'm scared to death I wont get approval from my insurance. My last appt is 4/10. I'm contemplating doing the military diet or doing all liquids from now until than.
  5. omg that is so reassuring to hear! I have MVP (Medicaid) and I am required to do 6mos of medically supervised weigh in's at my surgeons office, and I haven't been as diligent as I should have. I gained about 7lbs from my consult visit to now and I'm SCARED TO DEATH that I am going to be denied.
  6. HellO! So I'v been hearing that hair loss is an inevitable side effect of VSG. I guess the AMOUNT you lose, just like anything else, varies from person to person. but I was hoping someone might be able to give me at least SOME insight on what to expect. I am freaking out about it, so much so that I'm considering not even going through with my surgery. I'm already taking 10,000mcg of Biotin daily. If I am DILIGENT with my Vitamins post op, would it reduce the amount of hair loss? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
  7. WOW that's really shitty. They deff should do everything they possibly can to accommodate you especially since its so friggen close! ugh so frustrating. Well I hope everything works out for you!
  8. Hi! same here. I need 6 mos of a medically supervised weight loss program. Fancy way of saying I just have to go to my surgeons office once a month and step on a scale. It sucks because my last weigh in appt is April. I have been done with all my other pre op stuff since before xmas so this is kind of putting a damper on my excitement.
  9. Great! thank you so much! I appreciate the reply!
  10. I finished all my pre op specialist appts, now Its just insurance required monthly weigh ins until April. Is there a pre op diet I am supposed to be following leading up to my surg? I don't have a date yet, so will my surgeon tell me if there is a regimen I'm supposed to be following once we have a surg date set? I see that people are on pre op diets but it was never mentioned to me. please advise. Thank you
  11. Not orange, but right across the bridge in Dutchess! Hi there!
