30 lbs lost! :D
7 weeks post op tomorrow. Hit a stall around week 2 post op, and was stalled for almost 3 weeks. Since breaking through the stall, the pounds have been coming off day by day. I know it will come to a screeching halt again soon, but I'm so proud, I just had to share. And, I just want to offer a little encouragement to the newbies who may be in a stall....Hang in there!!! Don't let it get the best of you! You WILL start losing again! It's a process that's unique to each individual. We aren't guaranteed smooth sailing, but stay the course, and you will reach your destination. ❤️️ HW: 263 on 06/16/16 SW: 256 on 12/13/16 CW: 226 on 01/30/17 GW: 175 TBD Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Just for giggles! [emoji23]
The meme just seemed so fitting at the moment for me, because I've been in a stall for almost 2 weeks. I've moped about it, cried, gotten angry. And when I saw this meme, I just laughed and let all my worries go. Ironically, the same day, I exited the stall and I'm down another 3 pounds!!! Funny how things work out sometimes. Just for giggles! [emoji23]
@@Patticake74 Yes! A lot of us WLS-ers have a very emotional and difficult time. It can be hard to find the humor in the journey, myself included here lately. So, when I saw this floating around on Facebook, and I burst out laughing, it was exactly what I needed to see and I figured others might need a good laugh, as well. Glad you and your sister got a kick out of it! Laughter is good for the soul! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2 (TWO) periods in 1 month?!?
@@clc9 @@fatontheinside @@Shell @@mzzmisty Thank you all for the insight. What you've said makes total sense. Although, I never knew that fat stores hormones. Very interesting how the human body works. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2 (TWO) periods in 1 month?!?
@@CrowMilk Omg! The acne! Yessss! I hadn't even connected the two together. Now it makes sense why I'm starting to look like a pubescent teenager! I haven't had acne in 15 years or so, other than an occasional blemish around my time of the month. Ugh! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2 (TWO) periods in 1 month?!?
TMI FOR ALL YOU GUYS OUT THERE Hi ladies! Anyone had more than one period in 1 month, post-vsg??? I have had a Mirena IUD for 5 years now with very regular, predictable periods. I had my VSG on 12/13/16. Afterwards, I had my normal, usual 4 day period on 12/30/16, and now only 14 days later, here it is again. Full force. What gives?? This has never happened to me as long as I have had periods. TMI again, sorry... but if this was a little spotting or what-not, I wouldn't think anything of it. But, this is a total full blown period, which I find very strange, especially considering that I have an IUD. Can anyone weigh-in on this? Any knowledge, personal experiences or thoughts are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks ladies! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Crying on the bathroom floor
Me, too, love. Me, too. It's incredibly frustrating. Except, I weigh everyday and I am gaining and losing the same freaking 2 pounds over and over for the last 2 weeks. I am in the same feelings you're in, and doing EVERYTHING RIGHT! 12/31/2016 - 242.2 01/07/2017 - 237.6 01/14/2017 - 238.2 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Shaky every morning upon weakening?
That's a good thought! I hadn't thought about that. I need to get a BP cuff and start checking it. It was high for a few months pre-op. Day of surgery: BP 165/110, Blood Sugar 165 No idea what it is right now. Need to get some monitors, I guess. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App That's a good tip! I will try this. Have you asked your surgeon about it? If so, what did he say? I have my first post-op appt this Friday, so I will ask my surgeon then and report back with my findings. Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I have not asked. I just assumed it was dehydration and low blood sugar but lmk what yours says if rhey have any othef suggestions! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App I definitely will! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Feeling frustrated
I am 3 weeks post op, and I kid you not, I have been in the exact same boat since week 2 started! The very first week, I lost 13 pounds. Then NOTHING! Until today! I got up and I've FINALLY lost 2 pounds. I wasn't expecting to stall (for a whole 2 weeks) only 1 week after surgery, but finally, some progress. I understand how discouraging it is. Just hang in there, follow the plan, and ride it out. You will get there! Good luck to you! ❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Shaky every morning upon weakening?
(That's supposed to say "waking") Hi guys. I'm 3 weeks post-op VSG. I'm having something new going on, which is shakiness every morning when I wake. It's almost uncontrollable. I can barely grasp and hold onto anything, my legs feel like Jello and I feel shaky and dizzy. After about 30 mins, I'm fine. I'm not nauseous or sick. Just have the shakes really bad. Anyone else had this problem and/or know what causes it? Is it blood sugar related? What can I do besides waiting it out every morning? Thanks in advance! Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
"Oh! You will be soooo pretty when you finally lose that weight!" "That's kinda the easy way out, isn't it?" "You know that you can gain all of your weight back if you're not careful!" "Losing weight is easy. You can do anything you set your mind to do. You didn't need surgery." Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
