Never Ever Ever
Jessgnc recipes and websites or Great articles that you have read are all Welcome. I really feel like my Body works at its Best when I am Low Carb. The liquid diet has taught me that I don't need near as much food as I once thought I did. I am planning ahead now on types of foods that will be banned in my Post-Op Kitchen!!!

Liquid Diet Pre-Op
Please Learn from my mistake, shop for the full 2 weeks of liquid before starting it. I was 3 days in and I needed to go grocery shopping, and boy was that an adventure lol. Also prepare your family for the Liquid phase as well. I say that because last night on my 8th day of liquids my daughter forgot and grilled cubed steak for me before she remembered I couldn't have it. Good Luck and God Bless on your Journey!!!

3 Things I Haven't Done In Years
On a Sunday afternoon 10 weeks ago the Harsh reality that I was Very Quickly heading for the Grave or a Nursing home hit me. My chest was aching, shortness of Breath, feeling of Doom and Despair running through my Brain. All of those poor food choices and lack of being active had finally caught up to me. I had been to a Seminar for the Surgery a month earlier and found out that even though I had insurance my plan had opted out of Bariatric Surgeries. I took the Blaring Hint and changed my eating habits thinking that until i could have the Surgery I would at least eat like I had already gone through with it. That Sunday shook me out of my Comfort Zone and put me in action within 3 days later the flight was booked and deposit was made. Fast Forward 10 weeks and 73 pounds off I completed 3 basic tasks yesterday I hadn't done years. 1) I tied my shoes "Drum Roll Please" while they were on my feet!!! 2) I walked 2 miles Continuous 3) I comfortably cut my own toe nails (a gross thing to be Happy about I know) but honestly this alone is a Victory. I would recommend to all those that don"t have the finances or are waiting for approval to start today working towards eating portions that you will be eating after Surgery. 7 days into a liquid diet I realize that my body was lying to me when it said I couldn't survive on liquids alone. I am now looking forward to many more Personal Victories.

Never Ever Ever
This is the Macros chart I use. Lookup your height and it will give you a goal to shoot for. I have been able to loose 73lbs. Pre-op and still have 12 days to go but now I am on strictly liquids. Letting the carbs go is hard at first but it's what has given me the Best results.

Never Ever Ever
Salasmall what has been working for me is a Ketogenic style way of life. High Protein, Low Carbs 20 or less, moderate Qualify fats. I love Carbs but for some reason they just like to congregate and have house Party's all around my midsection so we had to have a breakup!!! Find a chart with your correct Macros and plan your meals around it.

Never Ever Ever
I really want to Thank Everyone for being so responsive and thoughtful with their replies. In the coming years you will see many posts from me, most will be written with humor but based on true emotions. I have rode the weight rollercoaster for the last 44years and now it's time to use the tools I have been given and put them to use. As we say in the South "'Hold My Protein Shake And Watch This"

Never Ever Ever
Tonight was fun as I pushed all the meat and lovely vegetables away so I could strain a cup of Delicious bone broth out of the Crockpot. Honestly in the past I never would eat much of the broth but now it is a delicacy after making it through the day on protein shakes. This Upcoming Surgery has reminded me to be thankful.

Never Ever Ever
NEVER EVER EVER go to the Grocery store when you are 3 days in to your pre-op liquid diet. My preparation left a lot to be desired. I decided that starting my Liquid phase 4 days early was a Great idea lol. They almost had to mop up the drool on aisle 9. I wasn't even obsessing over any of the wrong foods but those Rotisserie Chickens were calling my name laying there looking all Sexy. I am Thankful to say that I survived and left the Store felling like Conan The Barbarian all Rough, Tough and Victorious.

C pap machine and dry mouth!
I need to design a few ultra cool CPAP masks. Being single when I have a friend stay over it is quietly slid under the Bed lol. Luckily my machine has a reservoir for distilled Water and also the adjustable heat settings to prevent dry throat.

Sex after sleeve
From a guys Perspective If a guy makes advances toward you then obviously you have Characteristics that he likes. Don't let your self-conscious thoughts stop you from being intimate. I have found that women that have been Bigger put a lot more effort into pleasing their partner than women that don't have to work as hard to attract a man. Honestly one of the few turn offs for me in the Bedroom is a woman that wont let her self go and enjoy the moment and instead is constantly wondering if i find her attractive. We all have body issues whenever I was in the Marines at 162lbs I still thought I was fat. I am going to give you the Ultimate thing to remember "Fake It Till You Make It" well don't Fake everything lol!!!

Mentally preparing for Girl Scout Cookie sales which start tomorrow in my neighborhood
Haha those little innocent puppy dog eyes they give you as a marketing ploy lol. I just remind myself how self loathing they make me feel after I eat them and the Temptation Quickly dissipates. I think when you can be Honest with yourself like you are now you really have the Battle Mostly Won!!!
