  7. Sorry you are in so much pain. Like everyone has said, it does get better. I am t day 3 post op and I can say the pain has tremendously reduced from yesterday to today. I also found that taking a sip of liquid and walking right after you swallow helps with the gas. Take your gas-x and your anti acids religiously they help a lot. Now I know the pain I am experiencing is from the incision not from gas. I know its uncomfortable to do anything but believe us when we say it gets a lot better.good luck wit your healing process. 8. @@Trina47 I was denied by Aetna so my surgeon requested a peer to peer and I was approved a week later. I guess it depends on your individual circumstances and the requirements for the insurance to approve. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. Where are you having it done? I am January 10th also. I had mine done in Johns Creek GA. It was out patient so I am home recovering. It gets better every day. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  12. Got sleeved yesterday and it was an outpatient procedure. I am having trouble getting my Protein and food intake. I cannot say I am in major pain, just major discomfort but every time I sip on something, Water, broth, Protein shake, I gag. I have not thrown up and I even have the nausea patch behind my ear. Does food liquid consumption get better with time? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. @@bossportsgal and @@therealrox I was sleeved yesterday morning. Mine was an out patient procedure. Was home by 12.00pm. Yesterday and last night were rough. The gas pain was horrible even though I spent a lot of time walking. To is a much better day... I took gas x for the gas and tums for what felt like heartburn. I am still taking the oxycodone every 4 hours for incision pain. Getting in and out of bed is a major struggle, so is finding a comfortable sleeping position. Since this is day 2 I am giving myself a couple more days for the gas and incision pains to subside. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  14. @@Ginsin007 I had mine done yesterday in the metro Atlanta area. As everyone said..the first day/night was rough with pain, nausea and gas. I have been walking around my apartment for 10-15 minutes every couple hours and I must say it has helped tremendously. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
