  6. Hi everybody. My surgery was 12/16 - gastric bypass. I'm feeling ok, just some soreness and overall tiredness. I am struggling very much with my break up. It happened a month before my surgery. My boyfriend who had spent the past 8 months preparing with me blindsided me and broke up with me. Changed his number, etc. just disappeared. It's been very hard because now that I'm recovering, I am longing for him to be here. I just plain miss him. And since I'm recovering, I can't do much to keep my mind off of it. I just want to eat. I want to go stuff my face until I feel better about my break up. That's my go to - I didn't get to 465 any other way than emotional eating. Anyone have any advice? Tips? Helpful comments? All are welcomed. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  13. My name is Hannah. I am 23 years old from the DFW area. I am 3 days post op. I had gastric bypass surgery on 12/16/16. My highest weight was 465 and I had to lose some weight before surgery, so when I weighed in on the day of surgery I was 419! I haven't weighed myself since surgery. I figured it probably wouldn't change much in just a few days. The only post op struggles I am having are gas pains. I also scared myself a bit when I drank Water the first time. I drank far too much and felt like I was dying. Not a fun feeling! I am a little hesitant about my journey. My boyfriend broke up with me right before surgery after spending the entire 8 months before helping me prepare and sharing tips and tricks with me. I'm worried I won't be able to do it without his support, but I know there are support groups I can join. Let me know if you've just had surgery, too. We can be buddies!
