I'm confused on what the initials mean. I know SW = starting weight. What is CW and GW and any other. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pre liquid stage

Can I lie - hernia op?
I started with my two protein shakes morning and lunch and not eating big meals at work. Luckily my coworkers all want to lose weight so we always are giving tips and supporting each other with healthier eating, walking etc. we agreed starting Jan 2017, we Are all choosing a healthier life style. Perfect timing. I think I might say nothing. It's a desk job, 15 min from home so I will take 3 pto days (wed,Thur Friday) and have sat and Sunday take Monday too and work at home tue and Wednesday. I will tell my manager I'm having surgery and will need the time off. It's my journey so no one needs to know. My weight issue is a disease that leads to other diseases. But unless you go through what we do, no one understands. There are those few support people who get it.

Can I lie - hernia op?
So well said. My surgery is January 11 so losing weight at the start of year is perfect. New Years resolution. Haha. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Can I lie - hernia op?
@deeveg. That's exactly it. No one understands and they aren't educated in this enough to provide advice/feedback. But yet they do say those comments. It's frustrating. I have nurse friends who say it's so bad. I don't get it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Can I lie - hernia op?
I'm also thinking of not saying anything. Take three days pto (surgery is wed 1/11$ and two days working at home (mon/tue). I only have 3 days to take.

Can I lie - hernia op?
So I want to keep this private. And I'm so not a private person. My boss is also a friend so if I tell her I need some time off for minor surgery she may ask what for. I was thinking of saying a hernia. Your thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Back to work
I'm having surgery on a Wednesday. I am taking Wednesday Thursday and Friday off. I'll have weekend and work at home Monday and Tuesday. I have a desk job but I have a standing/sitting desk. I do walk around Office a lot and have a full kitchen and I'm only 15 minutes from home. I can come and go as I like. Is it okay for me to go back after a week to the office? Nails or no nails
Hello I have acrylic nails. When I was scheduled for the surgery last year they told me that as long as the meter could read my heart rate I do not need to remove them. But she said it probably would be best to take them off. Anyone leave them on during surgery?

2017 sleevers?
This is my third time with a scheduled surgery date. It is truly important to do the research and you must feel ready mentally and physically. I know now nothing is stopping me. Life is too short to live it. And to live it long and healthy! Scheduled date Jan 11 and I wish it was today! I'm actually dreading the liquid prep but glad I only have to do it a week.
