  1. I was sleeved on 1/30. Almost three weeks ago... my largest incision is sore! Sometimes it just aches. Anyone else experiencing this? I had two c sections and didn't experience this. I don't see my surgeon for another week. I'm just wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing. Thank you! [emoji846]

    Sore incisions

That IS odd! Mine don't hurt all the time, just on occasion. It's irritating.

    Surgery tomorrow

BRING A BACK SCRATCHER!!! You can't bend or twist if you have an itch very easily. Best thing I brought was an extendable back scratcher. Good luck!

  5. So I was sleeved Monday January 30th. I had my one week post op appointment today. I have lost about 7 pounds already. They asked my goal and I said roughly 90 pounds. (I started at 256... I am 5'7") They said judging by my "body composition scan" I should lose between 25 and 40 pounds. I have that much "lean muscle mass" that I should expect to end up STILL weighing over 200 pounds, between 219 and 226! Now... I have only been heavy for ten years. My goal weight is what I weighed until I was 34... I would be happy with what I weighed into my forties! They are telling me over the last four years I gained muscle, not fat and I shouldn't expect to lose that much. I am ALL belly. I mean, BIG belly. I think this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and it's so discouraging. I'm going to keep on doing exactly as I am told and frankly I hope I can shove their expected loss numbers right up their asses! Sorry, that appointment really bummed me out. Has anyone else been told not to expect to lose much? As little as 25-40 pounds?! I am not a body builder. This is silly to me. Bumming hard but keeping my eye on the prize. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. I'm right there with you. I had my sleeve done Monday. I'm not really hungry but it's super bowl Sunday and I'm sipping Water and broth. Not a beer, no wings... I'm a total crab today. However, I stuck to it and I know it will get better. Im glad to know I'm not the only one feeing this way. Addiction is right, and it is a sonofabitch! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I am less than 24 hours out of surgery, still in the hospital obviously, and I just want everyone to know the best thing I brought was a retractable back scratcher. You can't twist and turn if you have an itch. The leg compressors also make you itch and you can't just reach down and scratch, so bring a back scratcher! Good luck everyone. Here is to living long happy and healthy! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I am almost 100% back to normal today. My incisions are tender of course but other then that I am too top! Zero hunger. I do burp every time I drink something which is weird. I've never been a burped but I'm sure I will adapt my sips and stop that hopefully. yay us! Let's do this!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Debraqueen it comes in waves. I am pretty uncomfortable right now but my step mom works in the bariatric department and said that it will subside in a couple days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

5 more days until I'm sleeved!

I'm January 30th too!! I'm nervous and excited. I'm looking forward to being comfortable in clothes and going on a roller coaster with my daughter. (The bar won't come down far enough to keep her safe because of my belly). This summer we are going to Cedar Point! Good Luck everyone! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Doubts...

My surgery is Monday and yes... I have had doubts. But I remind myself that is can not be worse than feeling poorly all the time. It can certainly not be worse to live longer. I remind myself that I am afraid of change. It's comfortable to remain the same but there is a reason I started down this path and I'm not turning back now. . I hope that helps. Pre-op diet starts tomorrow

I feel ya!!! I so do!!! My boss asked me if I wanted carry out today. The receptionist asked me if if I was "hangry". These fools do not understand how close they came to bodily harm. Just kidding but WOW people just really don't get it. This is HARD. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pre-op diet starts tomorrow

I started my four shake/1 "reasonable" meal diet today. Surgery is the 30th. I'm so crabby! I am trying to knock it off and not think about all the stuff I won't be having and think about how GOOD I am going to feel. I think after a couple days once the sugars get out of my system I will be okay. Good luck to all of you... we can totally do this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
