  1. I am almost 3 months post opp. And I stared getting constipated as well. It makes sense. A mostly Protein diet. Then I found myself at the verge of dehydration, with the cramping symptoms, very little urine. Well another side effect is, our constipation. The bowels job, among others, is to extract as much moisture from the stool as it can. The longer the stool is in the bowel, the more moisture it extracts making it harder and harder. I found a generic suppository from CVS, worked but most of all, I started drinking more Water by m a king it more appealing. The flavor additive found in almost any grocery store , next to the bulk water. Just buy a variety, try each until you find what taste best to you. Hope that helps...
