Yesterday I met with my surgeon and scheduled my surgery. It's been almost 6 months since I've started this journey and now it finally feels real. I've been more anxious and more emotional in the past 12 hours than i thought I would be. I'm afraid I'm not making the right decision. I'm afraid I'm going to lose too much weight and I'll be too thin. Did everyone else have these thoughts and feelings? I guess I just need some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing and everything will be o.k. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
Did anyone smoke before beginning the process prior to surgery? Did your doctor test you prior to surgery to make sure your system was clear? If so, when exactly did they test you and how does it work? I'm trying to quit, but I've had a few slip ups. I don't want to ruin this process! T.I.A.

I'm curious what the Pre-op diet will look like and how long before surgery will I need to start? I had my very first appointment with the patient navigator today and officially start my journey next Tuesday! Hoping for surgery july/ august '17!

I'm going to my first appointment on Wednesday to FINALLY start the process to have surgery. I know that there is no definitive answer and everyone is different, but I was curious about how much weight I could expect to lose within the first 5 months? I'm only asking because I'm going to be in a wedding in November of next year and I'm not sure what is going to happen with my dress.

Yes!!! Congratulations! It's such a great feeling to see progress and accomplishments! Keep going girl! #yougotthis #slay #neverforgetbeautycomesfromwithin
I have Highmark insurance. I will most likely have to do 6 months of prep before surgery, that I do know. I have been up and down the scale all of my life.

My insurance states 100% coverage after my deductible as long as I'm at a bmi of 40 or more. They sent me my medical policy, but to be honest, it's so confusing other than the bmi requirements.

HI everyone. I went to my first information session last week and have my first appointment on dec. 7th. I'm nervous that I'm not going to qualify. I'm 29 years old, 5'7", and 115lb overweight. My BMI is 41. I don't have any preexisting health conditions. Does anyone have any input that has been through the process already. Do you think I'll qualify?
