Hi! I am a 46 year old mom of two amazing kids. I have a wonderful husband too, and I'm thankful for the three of them because I couldn't do this without them. I have a lot of friends who stand behind me and I'm very fortunate to have a great support system. I started this process in August 2016 after seeing my cardiologist for chest pain and palpitations. She did a thorough exam because I have systemic lupus and also rheumatoid arthritis and she was concerned that they had affected my heart. Thank God that wasn't the case.  It was then that she told me she wanted me to lose 100 lbs but felt it wasn't fair to ask that of me because of my two autoimmune illnesses and all the medication they have me on including low dose chemo.  She suggested bariatric surgery instead...so here I am! My surgery will be on 12/22...just one month from today. It's coming up so fast. I'd like to thank all who went before me, for paving the way and wish good luck to all those going through the process now. I hope you all have a beautiful holiday season. Thanks for reading! xo
