I was cleared by my psychiatrist and I have depression, anxiety, and PTSD. What WLSResourses/ClothingExch said is exactly why they ask for clearance. It's not about what illness you have, it's about your ability to understand the potential risks & gains of surgery, if you have the capacity to understand & follow the directions, etc. As long as your mental illness(es) don't interfere with these, you will be cleared in a jiffy. ???? First thing, I'm glad you are doing well post-op! I'm sorry things didn't go as planned, but the great news is there are several people on here that are pre & post sleeves (I'm scheduled for January) and they have formed support groups so they can ask each other questions and share stories. I would suggest asking if there are any December Sleevers out there and if there are and post-op support groups for sleevers ☺ I trust you have been given post-op eating instructions?
