  1. You are doing just fine. You are asking the same questoins most of us did when we were first banded. Were you banded in the dallas area by Dr Marsden? He was my doctor too. I just love love love him!!:cursing:
  2. You are going to be fine. You are asking the same questions we all did when we first got our band. Did you have your surgery in the dallas area? I was also banded by Dr Marsden. I just love love love him.
  3. Some types of medication can cause hair loss too.
  4. If you decide to use a doctor in Mexico make sure you can find a local doctor that will do the fills. I have read some people have had real issues will that.
  5. You should approach your doctor. Make them check your band and if Doctor is resistant to do so find another Doctor. The Doctor should care enough about your success to have already done this. You have been banded for alomost 2.5 years you should have hit your sweet spot by now.
  6. She has not clue what you go through. Please don't judge her like she did you. I told very very few people when I had my surgery. People who don't have a weight issue can't even imagine what we go through. If you husband is behind you that is good enough. I was only off work for 2 days and no one needs to know but you. Your friend will come around when she sees how much this will help you. And LB is not a quick fix. Maybe you could try educating her on the proceedure. She maybe talking because of what she sees in the media. Tell her it is a tool to help you. Just like reading glasses help us see they are still just a tool. Let her know that much at least. But in the end it's still your choice and you will decide what is best for you.
  7. Yeah, he seems to be busy, but his staff always calls me back when I need anything. Even my husband and 17 year old son liked how he took the time to walk him through the lapband proceedure after it was done. He showed them pictures and answered all thier questions too. They really liked him too.
  8. He did mine and he did excelent. His staff always answers all my silly questions. I like him a lot.
  9. Skinny Jeans... Dr. Marsden was my Doc also. I just adore him. I read what some of the other Docs put people through and he was such a blessing to me.
  10. It may take a couple of fills before you hit YOUR sweet spot. Please find some one to talk with regarding the emotional eating. Stop beating yourself up over it. In the end you will just keep eating to try and medicate the emotional pain. Many of us are going through this. Forgive yourself. Listen to what you say to yourself. Most of the time we are our own worst enemies.
  11. I just had my first fill last week and I was the same as you worried about all the crazy stuff that could go wrong. It was so no big deal. I too had last about 20 pounds before the fill. Don't allow your mind to make it bigger. I know the band is there now. But you will be just fine.
  12. I did a colin cleanse before my surgery and had very little promblems with the gas.
  13. I use an herbal tea called Smooth Move.. I have found if you have a cup a day it's all good.
  14. I just had my surgery on the 3-4-2007 I used Dr. Marsden. I think he is wonderful. He answered all my questions. My surgery went great. I was back to work on 3-6-2008. I also have UHC and you will need to get 5 years of wieght history and whatever else you policy my require. But I would use Dr. Marsden if you have the chance. I can't say enough good about him.
