  1. So...here I am..7 days out. I can see now, that last week was a "honeymoon" phase. Didn't miss or want food. Now...I am doing great, but my head is starting to think...jeez...I have not eaten in a looooong time. I am hungry at times. I have a protein shake, and that stops that...luckily those intervals have worked into 3 "meals" a day. But I am stating to miss eating a little. I find myself thinking of really decadent food, that quite frankly I have not had for months...but they are popping into my head. I am starting to mourn, seems early, and I know once I start driving and getting back out into the world this week, the real challenges will begin. Not gonna lie. Scared..and a little sad. I know its worth it, and I knew what I was getting into, but until you are actually here you have no idea how you will feel. Just wanted to vent, and see if anyone else is feeling this way.
  2. Hi! I am 5 days out. I have had no pain, they gave me only Tylenol in recovery room and that is all I have taken. I don't remember much of the 1st day... I am walking ALOT so that has helped with the gas pain. I do get this wave of pain in my chest..but it feels like gas...then I wonder if it's my sleeve having a spasm. I was released the day after surgery, and my only issue is getting in all the fluids. I am between 40 - 50 oz..and my Dr. had a fit I was not at 64. Weird thing is, I had broth once, and it almost made me throwup, I am pretty much living on Water and my Protein drink...which I am up to 8 oz a day... So far so good....oh, and no tears...
  3. I thought my protein shakes, broths ect counted as liquid too. My NUT told me that anything that has protein in it is no longer counted as liquid. Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App
