  1. So ... I'm having this problem of being super gassy as of late. Back story, I had my band done on 11/18. All post op appointments have been great and no issues have been discovered ... except that I am in a continual state of needing to belch or pass gas. Now this is recent, the past few days. ... it being 12/21 as I write this post Has anyone else had this happen? I notice that I'm swallowing a little air as I eat my soup (first fill was on 12/19). I thought that could cause a little belching but this is getting comical. Well, hope this little look into my world can either be a fun distraction to your day or a sobering reminder to not slurp your soup. Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App

  4. I'm a week post op. I made dinner for my girlfriend and mother. Basically the full turkey dinner experience for them. ... I had a Protein shake. It was actually not as much torture as one would have thought to watch them eat as I sipped my beverage. Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App

  8. Hey all, I've posted a couple times in the pre op forum. First post op post! I was banded yesterday afternoon. Quick, relatively painless, and home last night. Minus the neck and shoulder pain, and the insane want to belch and, well, send it the other direction ... I'm feeling pretty good. The Water intake is less than great. My post op says I should have between 6 and 8 glasses. I'm up to one and a half at 3:30 in the afternoon. Ok, well, hope you're all well. Power to the banded! ... sure, why not? 13. Started my two week liquid diet yesterday. Purchased a bunch of different types of the recommended Protein shakes. Don't be like me ... Have 48 bottles of a shake that tastes awful to me ... luckily I have others that are palatable to mix in with less than great. So, yeah, test them flavors out before you buy in bulk! 17. Greetings all! I'm Ray and I'm on the last few steps before getting ye ol' lap band. Last steps in that I've got a dr, done the weigh ins, and now am waiting to hear from my insurance to find out if I'm approved. I'm happy with the place I'm going, but they are a bit of a machine so I've been doing a bit of the info gathering on my own, hence how I found this forum. So, I guess my question is, seeing as I'm approximately a month out, what are some tips and tricks that worked for you or you wish you knew that helped you prepare for the liquid diet or the surgery it's self? Thanks for any thoughts or such that you would like to share! Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App
