  1. I gained 4 p ounds but they put me on the pre op diet. I think had I gained more the pre op diet would have been longer or more severe. I had 2 shakes, 2 Snacks and a low carb dinner for the first week. The 2nd week was 5 shakes only all liquid. I think had I gained more weight my diet would have been full liquid longer. Some patients get 3, 4 or 5 weeks of pre op diet. Good luck though, 10 pounds could be hormonal and will fall off quickly on your pre op plan if you have one! God luck!
