  1. I was banded on 3/11/08. I have lost 32.5 pounds since I started my pre-op diet. My doctor still has me on liquids and I don't go to mushies until my first fill which will be 4/14/08. I am looking forward to that. My starting weight was 253 and my weight today was 220.5. I drink my proteins, water and exercise daily. Congratulations everyone. Keep up the good work.
  2. I think that what your experiencing is very normal. Everybody is different and don't try to compare yourself to anyone else. Listen to your body and rest. When you are able to get up, be sure that you try to walk, walk, walk. Even if it is just around the house. For the first week, I would just walk in circles around my living room and reckroom, slowly. I always felt better. I also had to take naps throughout the day, which I had never, ever done before. My family was very supportive and would be protective of me, not let anyone distrurb me when I was resting.
  3. I was banded on 3/11/08. I was on the pain medicine for 3 days. I needed to take it every 6-8 hours. After 3 days, though, I started to feel horrible every time I took the pain medication so I stopped and started on just plain Tylenol liquid. This helped just as much for the discomfort and didn't make me feel bad. You might try going to Tylenol liquid for adults and see if this keeps you comfortable. Good luck.
  4. Hi, I was banded on 3/11/08. I am feeling the same way you are. Before the banding, I was able to drink Vitamin water or propel with no problem, now just the thought of these fluids makes me nauseated. I have been eating basically clear liquids like chicken soup broth, water. Today I am going to have a Beef broth- whoo! I have been trying to exercise getting in two miles a day. Tomorrow I am going to try a cream of chicken soup, see how that goes. I am looking for more liquid ideas during this time.
