  1. I have multiple comorbid conditions (diabetes & sleep apnea) and requested my PCP refer me for Bariatric Surgery. I received the following response, ""you must have 1 or more comorbid conditions UNCONTROLLED despite maximal medical treatment: Htn, OSA, triglycerides >1000, lower extremity edema w ulceration, diabetes". Has anyone else been required to have UNCONTROLLED comorbid conditions? They want me to wait until I am covered by Medicare to send my referral. All help is appreciated. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  2. I've taken Mastering Weight Management but they want me to wait to have my Dr referral until I have Medicare (June). Would someone tell me what classes and their length would be left for me to complete before surgery? My BMI is over 35, I am diabetic and have sleep apnea as well as other issues. I appreciate any information. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  3. Also, leave all jewelry at home. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
