  1. For me, I don't get over the guilt of being fat. I do everything I can to not be fat. (the result? 7 years of dieting and my ultimate admission of failure and scheduled for a sleeve this december) I hate being overweight more than anything. especially because my culture requires women to be about 108 pounds to be considered beautiful.

  4. @@4MRB4PHOTO Why don't you try looking it up first. Its a real thing. I'm saying this from experience. I had really bad insomnia for two years (tried everything didn't work). Finally I visited an oriental doctor and got acupuncture and drank herbal teas. after a month my insomnia completely went away!! I sleep 8 hours a night everyday now.
  5. I have heard from my acupunturist that your internal organs are balanced and when anything is wrong with them it brings disharmony and etc. from looking at most of the posts here with side effects such as facial flushing, insomnia, I really think that oriental medicine could help. I'm just bringing the word out there cuz not a lot of ppl seem to know. Look up stomach and tcm (which is traditional chinese medicine) and there are so many explanations of this. I'm pretty sure that insomnia and other side effects are caused by unbalance in our internal system because we removed such a large organ in our body
  6. @@rebcal did it eventually go away completely or do u still deal with this?
  7. The title says it all. Please, experienced sleevers (one year or older please!) Please tell me ANY and ALL the side effects that you have gotten from getting the gastric sleeve. Please list the most serious, as well as the minimal side effects that you have experienced during the journey so far. (except for loose skin cuz thats kinda expected ) My surgery is scheduled for December, but reading the few stories of horrible side effects ppl have gotten from this surgery, I am getting scared and feeling like chickening out Pleaseeeeee tell me (for example, permanent hair thinning/hair loss, pain, painful bloating, facial redness, skin problems, etc etc.) Experiences of ANY and ALL side effects will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Thanks folks!!

  9. Hi, I am interested in getting the vsg but I am so scared about the side effects of hair loss. I would be okay with hair loss if it was guaranteed that it would grow back later, but I'm scared that my hair won't ever be thick as it used to be. For those experienced sleevers, what has been your experience like regarding hair loss? does it come back to the state it used to be before the surgery? or does it come back thinner than before? Please help. i'm so anxious about this because I already have thin hair...
