    Converting to bypass from sleeve

Hi I had gastric bypass from sleeve about a year and a half ago. I have had no problems with it. I do still have some acid reflux but that is my fault if I eat too late. I would do it over again. I have had nothing but success with it. As far as after surgery, I felt like since I had gastric sleeve this was nothing different. As a matter of fact to me it was an easier recovery.

  5. Well with this surgery I was at 371 and yesterday I weighed in at 296. But I actually had gastric sleeve done in 2012 and my heaviest weight was 470 but the sleeve wasn't a great success, wasn't done correctly so I had a revision to rny in September. So total weight loss at this time is 175. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  6. First of all you look amazing. I had the sleeve done in 2012 and 11 months later I got pregnant and pretty much ruined my sleeve. So I just had a revision to the gastric bypass. Just be careful with your sleeve. From someone who knows all to well, you can stretch it back out. Once you start to feel full, so eating. Research why we don't eat the things they tell us not too easy, that's one thing that hurt me. I was unaware that diet soda would stretch my stomach. It's the little things, so make sure you understand why you don't eat certain foods. Learn what your trigger food are, foods that trigger your sweet tooth and avoid them. How I've helped a little. I have a hard time with smelling did. If I smell it I want it but it's a constant battle with my head. Good luck Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I was told just the opposite. I had the sleeve in 2013 and rny was not an option by this particular surgeon. After going through the sleeve I had gerd so bad never had it before the sleeve. My sleeve failed and I went to a new Dr, was going to have a revision done to it but once the new Dr explained that a sleeve only guarantees you to lose 60-90 pounds and rny is for 90 and over, I chose to revision to an rny. I had my rny 2 weeks ago and it's been great so far. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  10. So surgery was Monday and I'm a bit sore and tired. No complications with drinking. Was able to get a Protein shake down today. No nausea. I just hope it goes well for me. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  11. I had a revision from VSG to bypass on 9/26. I've done really well this time up until today. I bent over to tie my shoes and I had a really bad sharp pain in my right incision. Felt like something inside knotted up and twisted. Still sore, waiting on Dr to call back. I also had bad cravings in the beginning but it seems to be getting easier daily. 12. I use it, haven't noticed a smell and definitely hasn't changed the taste of any of my food. I was only getting 30 grams of Protein a day until i started using the GENEPRO. Now I meet my 90gram goal with no problem. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

  15. I had the sleeve done 7/2012 and it never worked for me. I moved and started seeing a new Dr about a year ago and we were considering a revision on the sleeve but once he took x-rays he saw the previous Dr had left my sleeve 4 times the size it should have been so he said i would have better results from bypass. I'm one week out, so far so good. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
