  1. 11 hours to surgery. I'm not afraid at all. Can't wait until I'm on the other side. Thank you to everyone that has replied to my post, your support means so much to me. It really puts a smile on my face and comforts me, and lets me know I'm not alone. Your kindness is a shining star everyone can see. Michelle

  4. Hi Kat, I'm so excited for you, congratulations, you've done it. Now you're comments will be Post-Op, I hope you feel better and better every day. How long did the surgery take? How long will you be in the hospital? The reason I ask, is my surgery is coming up so soon, my pre-op is this Friday 09/30, and surgery is on 10/13. I hope you keep sharing the steps you go through for those of us coming up next in line. Michelle
  5. I'm a few days away from the pre-op, and then the surgery 10/13. I'm surprised that my feelings are changing, I was super excited, ready to go, wish it was today, and then I went shopping. All of a sudden I realized looking at items on the shelves, my freedom to select anything, is going to be gone. This may be the last grocery shopping I do that I'm free to pick anything I want. That was always out there, of course. But to actually be there in that moment. I guess you would say reality arrived today. It took me by surprise, and kept getting stronger and stronger. It's so ironic, your trapped by food, and soon to be free of it. Did you have freedom before or do you have freedom now? Let me know what you think, I could really use some feedback. Thank You Michelle
