I'm a little scared too but I can't wait for a few months from now when most of the healing is over! I have my 30th class reunion this summer... I absolutely was NOT going to go but now I may consider it! We can do it!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
I'm March 6! My per-op testing is next weds 2/22.... I haven't heard anything from the Dr.'s office about a pre-op diet/liquid diet. I guess they'll tell me next week... not looking forward to a liquid diet! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
My Dr. mentioned at my last appt that she has to be very thorough because my insurance company, priority health, goes over her notes carefully. Whereas some insurance companies don't. Does anyone out there know if Priority Health has a high denial rate? I'm so worried after going through all of this that I'm going to get denied.

Thank you! I appreciate the input, I think February or March is a better time of year to have the surgery anyway. I can still enjoy this holiday season (responsibly) and start to lose weight before summer

Hi I'm just starting journey and I'm a little confused by information from my insurance co.
I'm from Michigan and have Priority Heath ins.
Does anyone know if they require the 6 month supervised diet? The Bariatric clinic said they did but when I called my insurance co. They said "yes if your Dr. requires it"
I guess I'll have to do a little more digging :/
