  1. I can’t believe the difference! This surgery changed my life, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! Pre-op: 296lbs & size 20-22 1.5 years post-op : 160lbs & size 8-10
  2. This has seriously been the best thing I have ever done! I am officially 6 months post-op and have only 10 more lbs to go! I started at 296 lbs at my heaviest and now am down to 185lbs! So excited! I don't hide from pictures anymore!! [emoji7]
  3. I am 5’5. Numbers can be so frustrating.. everyone is so different. I now weigh 170 and have friends who weigh 20lbs less but we share clothes. Try not to be too focused on a certain number and just aim for what you feel confident with!
  4. You are going to do great! Seriously this was the best decision I have ever made! I am just over 1 year post op and have maintained my weight at 170 with ease, which is actually 5lbs past my goal. I enjoy life so much more now between being more active, feeling better and having so much fun with daughters. My favorite part is now I am in all of the pictures with my kids and friends instead of hiding behind the camera! [emoji7]
  5. I can't believe it! I've reached my goal of 125lbs lost and feel like a new person! This was by far the best decision I ever made! Sleeved on 8/14/16 Starting weight: 295lbs Goal weight: 170lbs Current weight: 170lbs Left photo: pre-sleeve taken in July 2016 Middle photo: 4 months post op Right photo: 11 months post op taken today
  6. I try to eat mainly proteins but don't stick to any strict diet plan exactly. But i definitely eat small portions! I stay away from breads, tortillas, carbs that will fill me up fast. Also I stay away from sugary stuff as it usually makes me not feel good. I work out at the gym a couple days a week doing walking and core strength exercises and also ride 2 horses a day so I stay super active! My tip is to mix things up! Don't get stuck with the same diet and exercise plan day in and day out! Whenever I hit plateaus it really helped me to change up my routine a bit to jump start the weight loss again! Recently my daughter went into the ICU and has been at Children's hospital for 3 months now [emoji22] I have learned that even after surgery I am still very much a stress eater. I hit a major plateau and actually started gaining! I nipped that in the butt by starting on this amazing nutrition supplement called Thrive! It is not meant to be a quick fix for weight loss by any means but to improve overall health by filling any nutritional gaps and it has been a life changer! It's given me more energy and motivation to work out, I don't have as many cravings and has helped me handle my stress and I feel genuinely happier! If anyone wants more info, email me at stephanie7626@hotmail.com! Thank you everyone for the sweet comments! It's so nice to feel this good about myself!
  7. I can't believe the difference in these pictures! In the before picture I was feeling so self conscious and dreaded being in pictures! It is so nice to feel confident with myself again! Only 25lb more to loose and I reach my goal! Just over 4 months post op! Best decision of my life! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. So I was concerned that there wasn't that much of a difference from before surgery to now.. but after comparing this before and after picture I'm feeling much better! Be honest? Does it really look like I've lost 65lbs?! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My husband is questioning my decision

The only issue I have ran into is my husband enjoys eating fast food (and stays skinny as can be ). It is much harder to find something I can enjoy on a fast food menu vs a regular restaurant. So that has been an adjustment for him but in all reality it's healthier for him too to eat real food at real restaurants! A huge bonus though is we almost always share something so eating out has become much cheaper!! Good luck on your journey, it's so worth it!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Progress picture 3 months post op!

Thank you guys for all the encouraging comments!! Yes I lost 65lbs in 3 months and 1 week! The weight loss has definitely slowed down but making sure I get my Protein and working out helps it keep coming off lb by lb!! I did plateau for a little bit but I just changed up my diet or workout routine to help jumpstart the weight loss again! Also be patient, plateau's are normal while your body adjusts!
