  1. Has anyone had any skin removal done by a Dr. in or around the KC area? Was any part of it covered by insurance? Were they willing to do any work while their main focus was something other than cosmetic? I.e. hernia on lower abdomen, but were willing to go ahead with TT while there.

    Stalls

I had a stall about that time as well...I just hit 4 months out 12/1, and had been at a stall all of November! I get on the scales every other day to check, but finally on 12/2 I have started to lose again and the scale has dropped 8lbs since then..I have done nothing different than I had been before or during the stall, it just happened. I try not to get to discouraged about it, but this time was really hard for me as my first goal is now only 3lbs away! It is the weight I was when graduating high school and now I am down 81lbs! I always think I am loosing too slowly, but everyone is different and let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

    Problems with chicken?

Hello, I am about 3 1/2 month post op and have issues with chicken/Beef/Pork as well. It doesn't make me sick, but just gets stuck. I eat mainly ground beef, deli meats, ground turkey. I really enjoy Weny's chili..great way to get protein and the taste is good.
  4. Hello, I had RNY on 8/1/16. I lost 13lbs on the two week liquid pre op diet, so surgery day I was at 336lbs I haven't lost anything additional in about a week and a half. I guess I feel like something is wrong because of my insulin resistance and PCOS and it seems like everyone else I read about that started about the same weight I did have already lost 50+lbs. Anyone else feel like this? Since surgery, I have been trying to follow dietary guidelines set by the dietician and have only lost an additional 25lbs with exercise every other day at least. I know I am not getting quite the required 60g of Protein and 48oz of liquids a day. I never was a liquid drinker anyway, I would probably drink MAYBE 32oz a day before surgery. Should I be concerned or have others experienced this as well?

New to the site! My surgery was on 8/1/16 as well! Hope you are doing well!
  6. Thanks, I was only instructed 48oz of liquid until I hit stage 4, so that's why I am not pushing myself harder at this point. Thanks for the link, it's helpful! I am new to the forums, so still trying to navigate as well.
  7. I have a desk job, so little to no lifting is required. I had surgery on a Monday and returned the following Monday. I stayed overnight in the hospital and never filled my pain RX. But everyone is different.
