If you work for your parents that's even better. I mean they wouldn't make you stay if you needed to go home early or whatever. Sounds like a great plan!
I hope they cover your surgery too! If I had to pay out of pocket I probably wouldn't have done it. I was very lucky. Good luck!!!!

Wow. That's a lot of time. If you have it - I say do it. By the end of week 2 I was going stir crazy and wanted to get back into the swing of things. I was ready for my new normal. You can't do much exercising after. You'll be so weak from lack of eating. My Dr recommended waiting 8 weeks before exercising besides walking. You can always go back early!

I had my sleeve 8/29. I would say it took me a week and a half to feel back to myself. (Minus the hungry as fuck feeling!)

Sleeved 8/29 here too! No problem getting Water in at all. Feeling pretty hungry and weak which makes me nervous. Everything tastes terrible.
Given liquid oxy and Tylenol but not taking any. I do have to take liquid Zantac for 30 days twice a day. It's freaking awful. Makes me want to gag. Anyone else required to take that?
Holding out and praying for mushies.

6 days post op here. Everything has a weird after taste. Room temp Water leaves a metallic taste too. Hoping this all temporary.
