  1. I've been having similar issues. Lately, it seems like EVERYTHING makes me sick, including smells or even just the sight of most foods. I am still stuck with mainly my Premier Protein drinks (seems to be the only thing I can tolerate without vomiting up), but I want to get away from them. Good luck on your journey!!!
  2. Yes, you include the calories from your Protein drinks. Good luck to you!!
  3. I've been living with this problem (along with BAD nausea) since my surgery 5 weeks ago. For constipation, I am taking Senna, Colace, Miralax, and Benefiber. I also puree up a banana and throw it into my Protein ice cream. The Smooth Move tea is good too. Good luck!!
  4. Have you tried it?? Is it good??
  5. I'm sorry you're going through this...I know, it sucks. But ... like the other replies, it really does get better. I felt the same way immediately after surgery. I had mine Aug. 1st of this year; I'm only 5 weeks out. I remember feeling "Oh my god, what have I done?" or "Why?" sugar free popsicles are my best friend. I seem to be able to get those in better than anything else - they save me in getting in my liquids!! I too have been (and still am, unfortunately) dealing with 24/7 nausea (and occassional vomiting spells) since surgery. I came home on the scopalamine patch and zofran. The patch actually made my vision so bad I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. Once we figured that out, the patch was immediately discontinued. I am taking zofran and phenergan around the clock, in addition to my other post surgery meds. Because of the nausea, I did have to stick with liquids for awhile, then slowly moved into pureeds. I'm just starting soft foods - but it's been rough. I'm going back to pureeds for a bit longer. I've also had to go in for fluids because of dehydration. Even with ALL of the nausea, the constipation, vomiting, just feeling BLAH, I am finally to the point where I can say I am GLAD I made this decision. I'm starting to see and FEEL results, and that is worth it. I hear that eventually the nausea will get better ... I hope so. Good luck ... hang in there. You CAN do this!!
  6. Same here ... I'm only 8 days late. Pre-surgery, it was not uncommon for me to be early or late, but for the past year, I had gotten fairly regular.
  7. Amazing!! Great job!! -Kelly
  8. Super inspiring! Congrats on your transformation! -Kelly
  9. Every surgeon/program is different. I take Flintstones Complete chewables - 1 in the am and 1 in the pm. My surgeon had me start those immediately after surgery. -Kelly Ps. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!! -Kelly
  10. Congrats!! You look amazing. ???????? -Kelly
  11. I have WHA. I had to do lots of blood work, upper endoscopy, ultrasound, psych evaluation, nutrition class but it all went very quickly. -Kelly
  12. Way to go!!! -Kelly
  13. I felt that way immediately after my surgery. For me, luckily, it passed at about 3 weeks. I'm just over 4 weeks out now. -Kelly
  14. I agree on the Isopure zero carb drinks. I have to mix it with Water though and then no after taste! Premier Protein shakes are good too. What really helps me is freezing my Protein Drinks into Popsicles. I'm four weeks out and the frozen pops just seem to go down so much easier for me. Good luck!! -Kelly
  15. That's awesome!! Congrats to you all on the success! I am 4 weeks out, down 27 pounds. I'm hoping I can hit those high numbers at 6 mos like you all!! ???? -Kelly
  16. Hi. I'm about 4 weeks out now. I'm on antiemetics around the clock because of bad nausea. Premier Protein ready made shakes are good-the vanilla and chocolate. The chocolate is more tolerable though because it's less sweet. Also, Isopure zero carb drinks (multiple fruity flavors) are easier to get down and provide 40g protein per 20oz bottle. -Kelly
  17. Hi. I'm in Sac. I'm 4 weeks post surgery. -Kelly
  18. You should check out this blog I found ... she's on Pinterest too. LOTS of yummy looking recipes. I'm only 4 weeks out and into soft foods, but I have tried some of her recipes...very good. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
