Cheated :(
Unfortunately I cheated on my diet today. I had the cheese off a slice of pizza . I'm 9 days post op and been having a rough time. I think I'm making myself more sick than the food I ate. I feel awful and I most definitely am not going to slip up again. I chose to do this surgery, I waited a year to get approved, I work my ass off. I did not come this far only to fall off the wagon and have it all mean nothing. I guess I'm just looking to vent, lol. Thanks for listening to me. Haha ❤️8/17/16

My Gastric Bypass Story!
Thank you all for your replies! Since then I've been mainly focused on eating. I found myself going 6..7..8 hours without eating (and not being hungry). The thought of eating makes me nauseous. I'm working on it. Lol. Unfortunately I'm unable to sleep most nights. I can't get comfortable and often get restless. So I'm running on maybe an hour of sleep. I have my first post op visit tomorrow and plan to discuss what my options are regarding that. This lady right here needs her sleep! Lol. I love hearing about other people's stories and advice. It helps me cope and not feel so alone. ❤️8/17/16

Constant Pain
Anyone else have the constant feeling like you have to move? I can never get comfortable and I can't sleep for the life of me. I'm 6 days post op, ran out of pain meds (which were helping me fall asleep...that's all), and literally just want to cry all the time. Lol, I know I sound ridiculous but I cannot describe it. When does this phase pass?! Haha. ❤️8/17/16

Never Hungry.
Hello all, I'm 6 days post op Gastric bypass, and I am never ever hungry. I've been forcing myself to eat a few sips of Protein shakes and some sugar free Jello. The thought and action of eating makes me physically nauseous. I've been taking my anti nauseous medicine, but I don't feel like eating at all. I've been trying to get my fluids in...I generally do okay. I guess I just wanted to know if this is something everyone deals with or if it's normal? ❤️8/17/16

Beaumont Hospital in Michigan
I recently (8/17/16) had Gastric bypass surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. I had the best nurses and doctors anyone could ask for. My surgeon was Dr.David Chengelis. He was absolutely amazing and made sure I was completely aware of everything before surgery. My anesthesiologist team were fantastic and answered my many questions ( I had not been under before). Overall I would recommend Beaumont if you're looking in Michigan! ❤️8/17/16

My Gastric Bypass Story!
Hello! This is a short story as I only had the surgery on 8/17/16! I was discharged from the hospital the next day and have been sitting on my couch ever since! Lol. I've been in moderate pain, mainly where my incision sites are (one is really located at a bad position and is the largest which is causing me the most pain). I've been trying to get my liquids and Protein in but haven't been too successful. My goal right now is not to throw anything up. I have a hard time with the Protein shakes in general and don't really care for any of them, which doesn't help. Haha. Basically I'm looking for people to talk to about this major life change. I am only 21 and don't know of many people my age that have had this done. I want to know your guys stories and successes! It encourages me to keep going and keep strong. Thank you all! ❤️8/17/16
