  1. Hi I had the same questions right after my surgery, I had my bypass surgery on 8/11/16 and gained 5 pounds of air in the hospital. Today is my 8 day check up and im down 17lbs. Remember this isn't a magic surgery the weight will start to come off just follow the diet phases and get up and start moving ASAP. I was up walking the halls 2 hours after they woke me up, start walking and moving around your healing will happen much faster. Its been any easy recovery so far so good luck im here if you have any questions. Jessica.
