Fullness
How far out are you? I didn't feel restriction until I moved to pureeds and solids.

Is there anything that surprised you?
I was surprised to find that my heart would race whenever I ate or drank during the first 3 weeks after surgery. I brought it up during my post op appt with my surgeon, and he said it was normal, and that it was due to pressure on the vagus nerve from stomach swelling.

Numbness in legs and stomach, tingling in feet
Apparently, Meralgia Parasthetica is a common occurrence after Bariatric surgery. I did a Google search on "Meralgia Parasthetica after Bariatric Surgery" and many instances came up. A few research articles blamed abdominal retractors used during surgery. Not sure if it's accurate, but definitely interesting.

Numbness in legs and stomach, tingling in feet
I started experiencing numbness in both outer thighs last week. My VSG surgery was 12/21/16. I am going to see a doc but wanted to share something I found called Meralgia Parasthetica. Matches my symptoms exactly.

Pizza
I made pizza last night with cauliflower crust. It's not exactly the same, but it did the job. I could only eat a few bites of a slice of the cheese "pizza".

Spooked
I am 5 weeks post op, sleeve - I only threw up once and that was the day after surgery. I've never experienced "foams", I don't get heartburn, and I can gulp water (even plain water). No issues other than the soreness and discomfort that is part of the healing process. I even returned to work 7 days post op because I felt fine. Everyone's experience is different, but not all are experiences are bad. Hope this helps!

My sleeve surgery seems almost too easy. So far.
I thought the same thing; I kept asking my doctor if he'd actually performed the surgery. Things got real a week out, though ... and very real when I started eating pureed foods.

$$$$
The day before surgery. They would not allow me to make payment arrangements because it was the remaining balance on the deductible.

$$$$
I paid $2000. That was the amount remaining on my deductible.

Just got home from Surgery.
It gets better. I was sleeved on 12/21, and it took about 4 to 6 days before I started feeling normal again. Hang in there.

- Happy 7 week post op to me
I am 2 weeks post op (sleeve) and I have gone from 366 to 339.- Am I crazy?
I had surgery on 12/21, and I returned to work on 12/29. I feel just fine, but feel a little weak after walking short distances.- Stupid question, but do they strip you nude in surgery?
Funny you should say this: when I was at my pre op appt on 12/20, the nurse told me to be sure to clean my belly button before I come in for surgery. I thought to myself, "is this really an issue?" lol - Happy 7 week post op to me
