Thanks! @@Alexandra85 I have no comorbidities just a really high bmi, but I also want to loose as much weight as possible, and from what i have seen from researching it seems like not as much weight can be lost with the sleeve which is fine if I didn't have so much to loose:/ I guess there's a lot more to think about.

Okay great thanks! Yeah I think I'd be better off doing bypass. I'm currently at a 60 bmi hw 374 Cw 362 I haven't had a chance to meet my surgery due to some set backs with insurance, but I have a phone meeting with a nurse tomorrow then hopefully I can press forward!

I feel the same way, I'm just beginning my journey but I've decided I don't want to tell anyone at work partially because as you said it's my business and mostly because the reactions I got when I told a couple of family members. I feel it's easy to say ignore your co-workers but that's so hard when you see them all the time and you hear these rumors. I'm sorry you're experiencing that especially with your boss you would think she'd be more supportive having gone through the same thing.

I'm just beginning my journey and have done some research, I have well over 150+ lbs to loose and just wanted to see if anyone has done that successfully with the sleeve, or would bypass be the better option?

Oh wow, did your insurance plan require that you get a case manager and go through their bariatrics program?

Hi, so I'm new to this site, but I decided back in may I wanted to do wls, when I first talked to my insurance company about requirements I met all of them, so I picked a Dr. and got my consultation date. Then when I was speaking to them about something completely different I decided to ask about requirements again. Good thing I did because the first time I asked they failed to tell me I must do their bariatric program and get surgery at one of their hospitals of excellence. The only problem was there is not one in my state. However they reimburse me for travel expenses. It was just so frustrating because I was excited to begin with my consultation and everything. Now I feel like I'm starting all over again. I'm pretty nervous about having to do it through their program and want to know if anyone here has done United healthcare's bariatric program and how that went for you?
