Getting VSG in August at the age of 54
- Hello Out There August 2016 Sleevers!
No nausea for me.... Pain... Pretty substantial .. Take your pain med and walk every 2 hours, I walked laps inside my house, even set your alarm for thru the night. You may be hunched over but this helps with getting rid of the gas pain more than anything else and that is a large part of your pain. Sip...sip...sip slowly yo get your liquids in. Good Luck! You'll do great!!????- Am i doing wrong or is it normal?
I'm post op August 4 and experiencing the same thing I spoke to my nurse and also a friend of mine that had the surgery and this is very normal. My nurse told me that this could happen for up to six weeks depending on the person so not to worry. It does make it difficultto get all your liquids and Protein in.????- Am i doing wrong or is it normal?
- Hello Out There August 2016 Sleevers!
Hello AUGUST SLEEVERS!!! Just sleeved on August 4th... Last Thursday ! Days 1 & 2 is no joke but everyday since is better and better. My biggest recommendation is to set and alarm and get up and walk every 2 hours....I did laps in my house ... This is to get rid of the gas they blow ya up with to do the surgery and it is your biggest culprit to feeling better quicker and eliminating pain! Take it from this old nurse ... this will be one of the biggest gifts you'll ever give yourself. 6th day and I feel great... Feel free to ask any questions and GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY JOURNEY!!!
